Missing bankwirey

Been sending a bankwire to Rosselkhozbank from USA for many years, last successful time March 17th, a small amount just to see if I still could. Sent a larger bankwire July 11th which is still missing. I got a confirmation number from the sending bank to confront Rosselkhozbank. They didn't even look at it, said to write a letter of complaint. I did so, and retained a signed/stamped copy.

Now I'm left wondering when they will respond. Is there a law stipulating how long they have to respond, or is it up to bank policy, anybody know?

From my experience having worked in money transfer investigations, it’s the originating bank that should follow this up.
They, and they alone, know when, where and how the money was transferred.
Was an instruction sent directly to Rosselkhozbank or through one or more intermediaries?
Is the a direct correspondent bank relationship between your bank and Rosselkholhozbank or is reimbursement going through another bank or banks?
You can’t be expected to know that and nor can Rosselkholhozbank. A simple confirmation number, unless it comes from Rosselkholhoz themselves, isn’t going to help much.

I believe not, or the bankwire would not have been made. Think its the bank hoarding dollars as long as they can.

Got a РСХБ confirmation# that they received the wire from sending bank. Wrote a letter of complaint to РСХБ. Now, РСХБ has 30 days to respond, at the end of which time, РСХБ can file a petition for an additional 30 days.

The gravy sucking pigs get theirs. Okay, I won't starve, too bad if I was!
