Direct democracy, democracy, perhaps a semantic difference I don't understand. Maybe I meant to say demoncracy. Yet the lackey, spit licking, pedantic politicians aren't the real demons. Most of them probably believe their own lies, their monied puppeteers are the demons. Not just in USA, every country, "democratic" or not.

In direct democracies voters make decisions, pass bills and so on by direct vote. In an indirect democracy, voters elect politicians to make decisions.

I would say the US is a weak democracy, getting weaker and more corrupt. Also not a representative one with voters in small rural states having more voting power than the average US voter. It allows deadlocks by not requiring the ruling party to have a majority in Congress to allow laws to be passed, as is the practice in other countries.
