Russia is making more money from selling less oil, meaning Russia took in more money this year at this time than last year. The ruble hit 62 to the dollar, the ruble/euro is at a 7 year high. I like how the WSJ article shows an old sign with a rate much higher. The ruble went back to 66 because the central banks lower interest rates but overall Russia is doing great, prices on some foods are going down and people are shopping.

IN Austria and Germany,METRO has rationed sunflower oil, fat for deep fryer,flour, garbage bags and alu foil.
waht surprised me though, germany is a -wonder - collector of plastic waste. and aa lot is being exported to CHINA: Now the port of SHANGHAI is congested, there are not enough containers, freight costs have exploded.
EVERY excuse is being used, of course also the situation around Ukraine.
Is there ANYTHING that is still being produced in Germany or Austria?
Another AUSTRIA strawberry grower is whining, cant harvest the strawberries.
No Ukrainian workers...
AUSTRIANS of course will not do that. THEY want to work 9 to 5, 1 h lunchbreak, tea or coffee break, smoke break. and of course Monday to Friday only. And because it is Strawberries that grow on the ground, it is backbreaking work, so working like that is of course IMPOSSIBLE: Not for them.let the -cheap labour- do it.
And the Ukrainian -refugees - they have there? THESE refugees are not the kind that will do THAT type of manual labour....
