WIKI gives them only a -pencil factory-, not german owed anymore...
No entry found for Rotring Surname.only Rothering. and not much info there. most of them live in the USA...
and translating Rotring into english as -REDRING, does not give anything either. only Redding, and they all come from the UK -Reading -.
so it seems to be there is no one with the surname Rotring.
Definitely has nothing to do with the -Rothschilds - which means -red Shield, Rotes Schild, which was their founders -company logo, many 100s of years back. - zum roten Schild, when Housing was more often described by colors of the buildings instead of street names and house numbers.
