US Army- Walter Reed Hospital new -super - Vaccine- also against Omicron?

since i got this article in my e mail, i did a copy -paste of it...

Armyís Super Vaccine 'Effective Against All COVID Strains'

TL/DR: Walter Reedís vaccine could protect against all COVID-19 variants, including future strains

Scientists at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research are expected to announce a vaccine in a few weeks that is effective against all SARS and COVID-19 variants, including Omicron. The vaccine has been in the works for almost two years, Defense One reported, after the Army received its first DNA sequencing of the COVID-19 virus in early 2020. Dr. Kayvon Modjarrad, director of Walter Reed's infectious diseases branch, told Defense One that the vaccine has had "positive results" at the trial stage. Nearly all of Walter Reed's 2,500 staff have played a role in the vaccine's development.

"Walter Reed's Spike Ferritin Nanoparticle COVID-19 vaccine, or SpFN, completed animal trials earlier this year with positive results," Modjarrad said. "Phase 1 of human trials, which tested the vaccine against Omicron and the other variants, wrapped up this month, again with positive results that are undergoing final review." The vaccine's human trials took longer than anticipated as tests were to be carried out on subjects who have neither been infected by the virus previously or been vaccinated against it.

What happens now? Researchers at Walter Reed are seeing how the vaccine will work in people who have been vaccinated or have been infected with COVID-19 in the past, and are working with an industry partner for a wider rollout.

Looked it up. Phase 1 on humans was done this month and the US Army is reporting positive results. Two more phases of testing to go.

Protects against all variants? Methinks we should believe it when we see it.

and when the army is doing it, for sure their soldiers will get it first. and then the US pen pushers, bean counters and $$$ rich. should there be some left overs, the rest of the world might get it. for a premium price one can be sure of it... IF the pills will work that is. One also wonders, how many pills one has to take and what harm THEY will do your body?

Good points. And if it is a virus that constantly produces new variants, how can one vaccine prevent all of them?

But the US Army will be the first guinea pigs. But will we find out what's going on?

As usual with COVID, more questions than answers.
