make sure you have your facemask and gloves ready...because

Moscow will strengthen control over the observance by citizens and enterprises of the norms introduced due to the coronavirus: in particular, over wearing masks and gloves in shopping centers, cafes and nightclubs, said the head of the Main Control Department of the capital, Yevgeny Danchikov, RIA Novosti reports.

"From now on, control over the use of personal protective equipment by citizens in public places, including in public transport and the subway, shopping and entertainment centers, as well as in other places where citizens gather, is increasing," he told reporters. According to Danchikov, the decision was made due to the fact that the epidemiological situation in Moscow is deteriorating and the number of cases is growing. The head of the Main Control Board also recalled that there are fines in the capital for violators of the mask regime.

According to the operational headquarters, 4124 new cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in Moscow over the past 24 hours, this is the maximum number of COVID-19 cases since mid-January.

In the capital, since May 2020, there is a requirement for the mandatory wearing of masks and gloves in public places and transport. Violation of the requirements is fined under Art. 3.18.1 of the Administrative Code of Moscow (violation of the requirements of the regulatory legal acts of Moscow aimed at the introduction and provision of a high alert regime). The punishment under this article provides for a fine for citizens in the amount of 4 thousand rubles.

The changes that the mayor made to this article of the Administrative Code of Moscow in April 2020 states that the commission of an administrative offense under Part 4 of Art. 3.18.1 of the Administrative Code, "using a vehicle shall result in the imposition of an administrative fine on citizens in the amount of 5 thousand rubles." Also violators can be fined under Art. 20.6.1 Administrative Code (failure to comply with the rules of conduct in an emergency or threat of its occurrence). The minimum fine under this article is 1 thousand rubles, the maximum is 30 thousand rubles.

Seeing how relaxed our ppl are in shops, restaurants and public transport, I'm not surprised. Moreover, yesterday or before there was a raid of authorities in public transport, 5000 ppl were "subscribed" for 5K rub each, for no mask or no gloves on. 25M to the budget, one day only (well, not full sum, as they have to pay these inspectors).

And today 6700+ more "kovidnichki" have arrived

Sobyanin has announced next week as non-working one.
