    Is Trump a fascist?

If take this definition for granted:
    The 14 Characteristics of Fascism
    by Lawrence Britt
    Spring 2003
    Free Inquiry magazine

Political scientist Dr. Lawrence Britt recently wrote an article
about fascism ("Fascism Anyone?," Free Inquiry, Spring 2003, page
20). Studying the fascist regimes of Hitler (Germany), Mussolini
(Italy), Franco (Spain), Suharto (Indonesia), and Pinochet
(Chile), Dr. Britt found they all had 14 elements in common. He
calls these the identifying characteristics of fascism. The
excerpt is in accordance with the magazine's policy.

    The 14 characteristics are:

    1. Powerful and Continuing Nationalism
Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic
mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia.
Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing
    and in public displays.

    2. Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights
Because of fear of enemies and the need for security, the
people in fascist regimes are persuaded that human rights can
be ignored in certain cases because of "need." The people
tend to look the other way or even approve of torture,
summary executions, assassinations, long incarcerations of
    prisoners, etc.

    3. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause
The people are rallied into a unifying patriotic frenzy over
the need to eliminate a perceived common threat or foe:
    racial , ethnic or religious minorities; liberals;
    communists; socialists, terrorists, etc.

    4. Supremacy of the Military
Even when there are widespread domestic problems, the
military is given a disproportionate amount of government
funding, and the domestic agenda is neglected. Soldiers and
    military service are glamorized.

    5. Rampant Sexism
The governments of fascist nations tend to be almost
    exclusively male-dominated. Under fascist regimes,
traditional gender roles are made more rigid. Opposition to
abortion is high, as is homophobia and anti-gay legislation
    and national policy.

    6. Controlled Mass Media
Sometimes to media is directly controlled by the government,
but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by
government regulation, or sympathetic media spokespeople and
executives. Censorship, especially in war time, is very
    common.

    7. Obsession with National Security
Fear is used as a motivational tool by the government over
    the masses.

    8. Religion and Government are Intertwined
Governments in fascist nations tend to use the most common
religion in the nation as a tool to manipulate public
opinion. Religious rhetoric and terminology is common from
government leaders, even when the major tenets of the
religion are diametrically opposed to the government's
    policies or actions.

    9. Corporate Power is Protected
The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation
often are the ones who put the government leaders into power,
    creating a mutually beneficial business/government
    relationship and power elite.

    10. Labor Power is Suppressed
Because the organizing power of labor is the only real threat
to a fascist government, labor unions are either eliminated
entirely, or are severely suppressed .

    11. Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts
Fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility
to higher education, and academia. It is not uncommon for
professors and other academics to be censored or even
arrested. Free expression in the arts is openly attacked, and
governments often refuse to fund the arts.

    12. Obsession with Crime and Punishment
Under fascist regimes, the police are given almost limitless
power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to
overlook police abuses and even forego civil liberties in the
name of patriotism. There is often a national police force
with virtually unlimited power in fascist nations.

    13. Rampant Cronyism and Corruption
Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of
friends and associates who appoint each other to government
positions and use governmental power and authority to protect
their friends from accountability. It is not uncommon in
fascist regimes for national resources and even treasures to
be appropriated or even outright stolen by government
    leaders.

    14. Fraudulent Elections
Sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham.
Other times elections are manipulated by smear campaigns
against or even assassination of opposition candidates, use
of legislation to control voting numbers or political
district boundaries, and manipulation of the media. Fascist
nations also typically use their judiciaries to manipulate or
    control elections.

Trump is the only president who haven't sent US troops into a new conflict since President Carter. As you recalled that many democrats feared Trump will start a nuclear war and that fear was unfounded. What else has the liberal media lied about Trump? Plenty.

That was predicted a long time ago, apparently Trump do not have any tight relationship with the military industry and due to that no economically interest to please there.

As you recalled that many democrats feared Trump will start a nuclear war and that fear was unfounded.
Sorry, but in contrast to many believes, I am not a Democrat, and I do not follow then, or their political ideas.
I was hoping that Trump would had run the US as a business, but his narcissistic trends won above the business part.

What else has the liberal media lied about Trump? Plenty.
But not as much as the Right side had done, they are the true winner.

Plus, the situation in Ukraine and Syria weren't escalated, the NK threat nothing for 4 years, peace was starting to come to the Middle East, countries making new deals with one another.
A lot was unfounded from the Dems, they did a great job scaremongering through the media. When it comes to foreign policy ,in areas that mattered most, Trump did OK, he showed OPEC+ who was boss, twice intervening when prices were too high or low, many laughed at Trump when he said to cut 10-15m barrels early last year, KSA and Russia obeyed.
It's like Trump took Theodore Roosevelt's big stick ,and instead of the "speak softly and carry a big stick; you will go far." Trump spoke loud and used the stick aggressively when needed.
I give Trump a solid 8/10 on foreign policy.

He very nearly started a new Middle Eastern war when he assassinated a member of the Iranian leadership in Iraq - that was a clear and an unarguable act of war!

Are you so sure it wasn't Israel and Trump just covered for them?

Trump also put sanctions on Venezuela that are killing people and a forum of economic war but he did want to pull out troops and use the money for the American people, doesn't that make him a Fascist? You know wanting to help people and not big corporations. Trump even wanted to lower drug prices so Americans could afford them, a clear Fascist move if I ever saw one.

Hans your 14 things sound just like how America has been run for a long time now. I'm sure you never thought about this but you know all these politicians live in the same place. They all go to the same restaurants, supermarkets, health clubs, their kids go to the same school and their wives are all friends. They all get money from the same companies to run campaigns and if you looked a little deeper you would see that most of them voted for things Trump wanted like the Wall while calling Trump a racist for doing it. If you look back all people running for president talked-about keeping illegal aliens out and doing things for America. How many flags were there when Joe Biden was sworn in? Who gave the police military equipment? Who made them more of a federal law enforcement entity? That was Obama and Biden, and it was under them that BLM first started to protest. Talk about smear campaigns and election fraud? Who was smearing who? Who was cheating? I know you think there was no problem but when 700,000 votes just show up after counting stops and 95% of those votes go to one person it does look a little bit strange. I think you should do more homework on this because the guy in the video you posted was just smearing Trump, that should be a red flag.

Yes it was bold and calculated move but Trump knew Iran won't retaliate. All Iran does is huff and puff with no actions and nobody takes Iran seriously. Also what the f*ck is Qasem Soleimani doing in Iraq when US armed forces are in Iraq? Soleimani is either incredibly dumb or brazen but it got him killed either way.

It seems that right now Democrats are using 3,4,6,7,9, 12,13,14, of the 14 against Republicans and anyone else who doesn't agree with them. Funny thing is BLM and antifa just had some "peaceful protester" out west and say they don't care who is president they will keep fighting.

You know, Tolko, because I really am fair, I agree with you that that was seriously imprudent. Itís too bad that you are an enemy of actual traditional Americans, and only want to see us as global subjects under centralized rule by people who you approve of (with enough injection of Islam to get us eventually taken over). But on this one, I agree with you on an order of 80%.
Your other posts are mostly not worth responding to, being propagandic and slavish, but if you say something true, Iíll agree.
