I've lost the original copy of my degree certificate and reissue is proving problematic. Since there's a requirement to submit a notarized translation to obtain a work visa, I'm hoping there are alternative qualifications recognised by immigration authorities.

depends what you are applying for? for a work visa you need any document that shows that you are qualified for the job that you are applying for. that you went to -school-. or did an apprenticeship. did an -exam- and got a-diploma-.
