How to pay the 5000 fee?
Do I need to take something to Sberbank to make this payment?

do you have to go to Saxarovo to prolong it? if yes, best pay there. it is -their- bank, you dont have to fill out any papers, just your passport and PRP and most of all, because it is THERE, there will be no problems with mistakes, a stamp is missing, a signature is missing, this is not the right number,or any other million hassles. on top of it, there are also tons of -just- terminals, with the touch of a few buttons and the correct amount of money, you are done in a few minutes...
There is no greater treasure then pleasure....
No, not at Saxarovo. Yaroslavl region.
At Sberbank in Moscow, was told I need квитанцию,then can make payment, which is a receipt, but I need a receipt that I paid and can show to fms when I hand in my docs.

After more back and forth, need a paper from fms to take to bank for payment
My local office has a terminal to make payments right there.

When picking up the new prolonged PRP, do they transfer the propiska stamp there and then?
Or do you have to go with all housing docs and do it all again?
when i did -prolong - my PRP, my wife had to come with me to the Immigration Office and write in handwriting, that she agrees that i could further live in our place...( the apartement is in her name...) if there are more grown up people registered there, kids, grandparents, in laws, either they have to come also in person, OR can go to a -notarius -, most of the time one is located around the palce where one lives. and there one gets a letter, with all the samps, and payment of course. and no need for people to be in person there. should people be registered there but be on vacation or the likes, they can go to a -notarius- there, hopefully it will bea russian... one will then get only ONE stamp in the little book and that is all... BUT remember, just because we did it like that here in Strogino in Moscow, does not mean it will be the same procedures in Vladivostok...
by the way, not related but maybe interesting also, when my yearly re registration ( that little white paper that stays with you...) was due,i schlepped all my anketa, letter from the bank and all photocopies and originals to the good office there. To my surprise i was told - no more re registration. i want to see you in 2 years time with either a NEW PRP. or the permanent one -. Procedure though the same as described above.
citizenship with no giving up one's own was at that time no subject yet.
There is no greater treasure then pleasure....

Yeah, like you said,
"BUT remember, just because we did it like that here in Strogino in Moscow, does not mean it will be the same procedures in Vladivostok..."
In Yaraslavl region different, have to fill in an application, write an exact letter of permission with their wording, pay 350ru to Sber, registration fee, copies or this and that.
More of hassle then applying to prolong it, got 7 days to get it all done.

All is sorted, got the little blue book with stamp in it.
They said got to still do the annual registration, I'll be looking into getting citizenship soon, things have been made easier.

Let me know how the citizenship ap goes. A friend of mine is thinking of doing the same thing. Thanks.

Congratulations.
When I got mine some years ago I showed to some other people from outside Russia so they could see what it looks like, someone said "Now you are a blue Russian", but a Russian that was present said "Don't call your self that, it is bad". So what are we, the holders of the blue book, Russians light?

Could you share full list on docs you needed to hand in, I know different areas of Russia have their own rules.
I've been told to show an incom, taxes, but I read that with new simplified Chinese procedure it isn't needed.
Woman who helped me fill in my form for prolonging book a few weeks ago is a migration expert, but she insisted I needed to show language certificate, I knew I didn't have to, she was gonna phone fms to find out cos she got contacts there, I said, don't phone, just help me fill in the form neatly.Saw her yesterday and reminded her about me being right about that test ,and I told her I don't need to show any tax payment forms.

Will do, I'm doing out in Yaraslavl region so things might be a bit different.
I do know that for language test it's just a speaking part, was told they ask me some simple questions and I answer, it's recorded and sent off to the main office, maybe this is one of benefits having registration outside of Moscow.
