I just use the phone mainly as emergency phone in case my car breaks down. No one will stop on the Interstate until a cop drives by, and that could be 2-3 hours waiting, if you don't have a phone. I can't see using the phone to edit pix, much less videos, but my friend runs his entire Ebay account just using his phone. He doesn't write English very good or do math much (he's black and public education product) but he mostly "talks" to the phone. It's amazing, I don't know how he does it. But the phone is the "great equalizer".

He is starting to make some good money on Ebay. I got my phone for $50 from a landlord who said his wife lost the on-off button for it. I found the little button on ebay for $5 and just popped it in. I was going to give it back to the landlord, but he never fixed a hole in the roof that leaked water on the kitchen stove, so fuggedaboutit! I did use the phone every day when I was in Russia, it seems more necessary there, for example, when you arrive at friend's building and you need him to give you access code for door. Yeah, I know I need to upgrade, but you're going to have to drag me kicking and screaming before I do...
I am using Tracfone service, it's only $10/month, but unreliable. It usually only works when there is wireless service nearby. At the auction, there are many people on their phones, always checking the price/value of items which they are unfamiliar with. That's what I need too, instant look-up of items, can't continue to rely on accumulated knowledge and guesswork for pricey items. Saturday, one kid asked me to sell him an old book I got for $2, he offered me $20, then $60, but I love old books, and this one was about the beginnings of socialism and progressivism, Populism, in the 1880's. I have it listed on Ebay now, it's up to $200 in bids, and a couple more days for the auction to go. Want to make some extra cash? - find some old books or USSR items...
Still mystified why I do not have complete access to MY phone when I rooted it, it should have given my capability to download new O/S, but no, the phone-maker is lying to me, I do NOT have total access to MY phone.
Got the GIMP photo-editing program for my computer, instead of Paint Shop Pro. Now if I download pics to my computer, and in GIMP it asks me if I want to save the file with the Exif info (the orientation information). I guess that implies that the webpage picture-display technology is also aware of the orientation. Why did the phone people have to complicate this? With original camera, there was only one "up" now there can be 8 (Four 90-degree rotations x 2 (normal or mirror) options.
