Beirut ,- Ammonium Nitrate - does the average person actually know what it is?

    https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news...VwRzSL_Fz0NhxI

the article, which i first posted to FB and then copied FB to here,( one needs to be political correct these days and avoid copyright issues...) explains also in a language that can be read and understood, what it is, where it is used and why it can do so much harm.

On TV news i heard in the morning that the Lebanese - Secret Service - began to investigate that 5 month ago. wonder what they did for 5 month? wonder what they did for 5 month? looking for the owners of the sacks? where it came from? where it was to go to? dont think though a really responsible and guilty person will be found... remember the old Russian proverb? - the line goer is always guilty -. (стрелочник всегда виноват) . meaning a little, innocent, low paid, half -wit - will have to pay the bill... 75 dead and over 4000 injured.
and while Trump and hisGenerals still think what it could have been and what it had caused to blow up accident or -terakt-,VV is sending already a field hospital to Beirut. One can assume Russia's Emergency Services ,МЧС, are always ready for such or similar disasters?

and the latest from Sputnik news...
Repair work might have been the cause of the blast.

Read about Anders Behring Breivik, so for "Freedom fighters" or "protectors" of whatever they may call their home-land/religion/home, it is very well known.

Yep, the average American knows all about Ammonium Nitrate. I think that was the same stuff that, in 1994, the farmer used to blow up the Oklahoma City Federal office building, packed with IRS (tax) agents. I thought the sale of it was banned 20 years ago.

The farmer's "justification" for his attack on the feds was Bill Clinton's own "terrorist" attack on an enclave of Christians at Waco, Texas, exactly one year earlier. Clinton had sent in US Army tanks, burned down their housing, killing 83 of the Christians. The farmer was "protesting" against the brutal, out-of-control government.

    Headlines:

CNN: "A Russian ship's cargo of dangerous ammonium nitrate..."
Daily Beast: "Beirut Ignored Public Warning There Was a Russian Bomb at the Port"
UK Independent "Who is the Russian businessman who owned a ‘floating bomb’ in Beirut’s port?"
Daily Mail: "Russian businessman whose abandoned shipload of explosives ripped apart Beirut in a huge blast is questioned at his Cyprus home"
Moscow Times: "Explosive Fertilizer Confiscated From Russian Businessman’s Ship Linked to Beirut Blast..."

Yes, the Russophobic media continues its unrelenting Cold War against Russia. The Daily Beast seems to imply that Russia purposely planted a small nuclear device in the port.

(Note: the "Russian Businessman's" cargo was seized from him, by fascist Lebanese authorities/corrupt criminals, 6 years ago.)

Wonder if the media title "The Daily Beast" is from Yeat's poem:

"...And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?"

Is the Daily Beast self-describing itself as the Anti-Christ?

well the news said, no more link because it was in yesterday's BILd newspaper, today it is already in the - pay for newsitem- section.
SAUDI ARABIA sent the stuff to Syria. on the way the ship broke down. Happens the owner was a Russian, living in Cyprus or god knows where... the ship - schlepped - into Beirut for repairs. The owner claimed he had no money for repairs, claimed bankruptcy. No salary for the crew either and not only for a month or two..., no port fees, nothing. therefore the authorities confiscated the cargo. & years it was stored in that warehouse, correctly or incorrectly, who knows. why it only NOW blew up,Beirut authorities are now NOT excluding a bomb or rocket attack... ( something to that sort is also being published on Sputnik news, english langauge, and RBC, russian langauge.)
