Why would the American media, Democrats, and the Swamp in general push back against Trump trying to improve relations with Russia, a White, Christian, BIG (large territory), multi-ethnic, large-immigrant-population nation with much more in common with us than say, Saudia Arabia, our "ally"?

The World is full of such incoherent political decisions and unanswered questions, Tolko, my friend!
I am fascinated by Russia, this country with frigid weather, hard souls, and hot girls!

Maybe the plans from top leadership to absorb Belarus has the powers that be worried about their fellow countrymen?

The talk of n the Russian capital to "join" Belarus with Russia has gone on for many years. From the Russian side it's always one of glee and a licking of lips. I wonder if the belarussians feel the same way?

I remember when I was on the trading desk during Ukraine/Crimea. A fellow co-worker was a white Ukrainian and from Crimea. When that part was nationalized and everyone "voted" to join Russia, he said he didn't know anyone who actually wanted to. I asked him one day if he was happy about the situation and he replied, with a tear and in his eye, mate, how would you feel if you woke up and your country didn't exist?

Sure, mate. Just like there are black Russians, like Pushkin. That aside, there are many other ethnic groups in Ukraine that are Ukrainian nationals but not are not white, such as Crimean tartars, which were forcibly prevented from going to the voting polls.

Sad that you have to be educated on this matter. This tells me you are very old. And don't get out much.

I haven't been following much what's been going on with recent events, not long ago the USA reached out to Belarus, with Pompeo visiting and buying USA LNG.

Maybe, this is Russia's way of saying, be careful.

In this "article" there is a list of 10 (TEN) Africans who have a tenuous connection to Ukraine, all of them entertainers, singers, or basketball players. So Afro-Ukrainians consititue .0004% of the Ukrainian population, and most of them are in (or were in) Donbass.

Also we are "educated" by this article to understand the "nehr" used in Ukraine: "It is considered a neutral term." However, the article fails to mention it is pronounced like the n-word in English.

This article is most likely a Wikipedia entry written by an Ethnic Studies graduate student in a Calipornia university, to gain extra credit from a minority racist professor.

Tartars are not white? I would post a picture of my 100% Tartar office manager, blonde and gorgeous as in Elle cover material, but experience has taught not to post anything personal here.

What ethnic pigeonhole do the university-elites/sociologists/racist bean counters put Tartars in? In order to "diversify" them? So, after we are told how different we are, and after we are segregated by the Social Scientists into disparate groups, then we all can be accused of intolerance ?

The list of ten people is famous ones. Sorry there aren't more.

As to pronunciation, it is not pronounced the same at all. Do you speak Russian at all? It is like saying bitch and beach. Most Russian speakers can't hear the difference between the two.

I just reread what you wrote and man, you wrote some crazy talk.

"tenuous connection" to Ukraine? The entire basis of your statement rests on those two words. As in, they just happened to grow up in a country, be educated by the system, speak the language, etc, but really aren't part of it, at all.

    And that's just wow.

Most Crimeans consider themselves Russian, not Ukrainian. Crimea has been Russian since 1783.

One may classify people by their race ( a "white" Ukrainian), but most Ukrainians, Russians Americans, most people, worldwide, prefer to be considered by the content of their character, not by their color of their skin, to quote a famous pastor.

When that part was nationalized and everyone "voted" to join Russia, he said he didn't know anyone who actually wanted to.
Crimea has been Russian since 1783.

Absurd to claim no one wanted to vote for Anschluss. 95% voted in favor of Soyuz. Crimean retirees have received a four-fold increase in their pitiful Ukrainian pensions. If someone offered to increase your salary by 4x, and also to turn the radio and TV stations back from a foreign language, if they were all in say, Spanish, to your native English, you would vote against that? Yes, no one in Crimea wanted to re-connect formally with Russia! Patriotic "Ukrainian Crimeans" all marched around with their Ukrainian flags, singing the Ukrainian national anthem!

I asked him one day if he was happy about the situation and he replied, with a tear and in his eye, mate, how would you feel if you woke up and your country didn't exist?
Crimeans were "happy" when their country's legitimately-elected government in Kiev was overthrown in a violent coup?
Americans are "happy" about the Democrats, media and racist BLM and Antifa terrorists trying, through violence and a corrupt court system, to overthrow the legitimately-elected government in the USA?

Why are you worried about a place you have never been to when your own house is going up in flames?
