Brits get their old green passports back...

    https://www.orf.at/#/stories/3155292/
fun fact- a French company got the contract. And the passports are being printed in Poland... They dont want the EU. But when it comes to $$$, they still go for the cheapest contract offers....
The Chinese most probably could do it even cheaper? Suppose THAT would then not be a good idea to have them printed there?

Were the Brits passports not blue or black - am quite sure that they were not green!

Green passports are normally issue by most Muslim countries because the colour green was apparently The Prophet Muhammed's favourite Colin and it represents 'eternity'.

The “old” passports were a very dark blue colour. Interestingly, although this was used as a pro-Brexit argument, there was no reason why the UK had to change to the burgundy red EU colour in the first place. But, as Benedikt points out, the real irony is that in its bid to bring jobs back, the government awarded this very symbolic contract to a foreign company.

Slightly off-topic, and I can’t vouch for its accuracy, this article suggests that Brits with non-British wives may find it very difficult to return to the UK to live in the future, whatever the colour of their passport: https://europestreet.news/locked-out...urn-to-the-uk/

There is an international treaty that I would imagine the UK is party to that gives the right of folks to have their spouse be residents.
