Canada and Trudeau's Minstrel of Propaganda

I always have thought of Canada as a beacon of freedom - freedom of speech, at least.

However, Mr. Trudeau does not like anyone criticizing him. Like with the North Korean dictator and Iranian dictator, you will face consequences for public display of contrariness to the Great Leader.

Seems that this author violated one of the tenets of Canada's election "system." The "Commissioner of Canada Elections" summoned him for a grilling. The agents refused to tell him what he was being charged with, they were "just "investigating". No crime, and no due process.

In Western Europe, it is mostly a crime to criticize government-sanctioned policies. Writing or speaking contrarily will get you a fine or jail sentence for slander and/or "hate speech."

Looks like the USA is the last light shining on the third Stone from the Sun, as far as Freedom of Speech goes. And that light will be extinguished when the people (helped by agenda-driven social engineers "overseeing" the election to ensure the "correct " people are elected) vote for a Democrat president with a Democrat-majority Congress. When that happens, they will pass the "Fairness in Broadcasting Act" which will asphyxiate Freedom of Speech.

But the USA is halfway there, with its own "Federal Election Commission". There are a thousand pages of regulations, and you just saw the Left try to impeach the President for allegedly violating one the regulations. They said the president's legal and *mandatory* prosecution of discovered corruption was invalid and illegal, because the criminals (Joe Biden and Hunter Biden) happened to be political rivals. The Left had also tried this tactic earlier, arguing the Pres was trying to influence the election by paying off a woman he had an affair with. As far as this goes, anything, any act, by any person, can be interpreted as "trying to influence an election." Good God, suppose I declare, "I am voting for Candidate Z, and he is a good man." - that's "trying to influence an election" in Candidate Y's eyes...
