Hotel which doesnt register visa

We want to visit St Petersburg again and , because of the new visa laws, hotels register the visa, etc,.then, going home, have to hget landlord and do it all over again, tired of air bnb, we did a hotel last year and they didnt register.

Any other ideas?

By law, all hotels suppose to register you. Sometimes showing valid registration document is acceptable by hotels and they won't register you. It's best to confirm with them before going.

Yes, thank you, I know, by law they are all supposed to, but we had one that didnt...they changed and now do it, have written seven and all do...airbnb?

I know of some hotels that don't register. The best thing to do is to either get a general registration (I use the Peterskaya Hotel on Liteniy just north of Nevsky) or go to a hotel that does register. There is one hotel that I always stay for one night when departing or arriving on the train; it's literally closer to the trains than the front door of the station (Moskovsky) and without the stairs. A great place to lug around 100 kg of stuff like I do when I travel.
