Potassium ferrocyanide (E536): effect on the body

Potassium ferrocyanide (E536) is a dangerous additive, the use of which in the food industry is prohibited in several countries. In our country, it is universally added to ordinary table salt as an anti-caking component that prevents the formation of lumps. Also, the technological functions of the illuminator are inherent in this food supplement.
Natural unprocessed salt has a grayish color, which many may find ugly, "dirty." With the addition of E536, salt becomes much lighter and brighter than manufacturers who want to sell this relatively inexpensive product at inflated prices.
In winemaking, E536 acts as an emulsifier, with the help of which excess cations of heavy metals are removed from the wine material. Especially enterprising producers even manage to include E536 in sausages. It is not difficult to “recognize” such a product, because it gives itself out as a whitish coating on the shell.
What danger is fraught with the E-536?
Yellow crystalline powder is obtained by chemical synthesis during gas purification in gas plants. From the name it becomes clear that the substance includes cyanide compounds. We think readers do not need to explain what potassium cyanide is. Depending on the production method, the toxic E536 can form additional cyanides, even hydrocyanic acid.
In the Russian Federation, the use of an additive is permitted, but its quantity in the finished product is regulated. For table salt, dosages of up to 20 milligrams of potassium ferrocyanide per kilogram of salt are considered the maximum permissible. However, even in such dosages, E536 can cause irreparable harm to the body.
Problems that can be caused by potassium ferrocyanide :
diseases of the gastrointestinal tract;
diseases of the liver and gall bladder;
skin problems (purulent inflammation, acne, acne, dermatitis);
disorders of the nervous system;
diseases of the lymphatic system;
serious intoxication of the whole organism.
Effect on the body
Scientists do not undertake to comment on the situation with a dangerous emulsifier, which is widely used even where it would be possible to do without it. It is not known for certain what this silence is connected with: the reluctance to get problems from higher authorities to which the use of E536 can be beneficial, or with the banal indifference to the fate of society.

However, the fact remains: all substances in the name of which the particle “cyanide” is present are certainly dangerous. And only after conducting appropriate biological tests, it will be possible to find out for certain how harmful one or another dosage of potassium ferrocyanide is. But, think about it, are you ready to consume such salt daily? Giving it to your children? After all, who knows: maybe this is how you slowly “collect” a time bomb in your body, which at one point can irreversibly destroy your health.

I personally do not use, since many years. i use simple - cooks salt- either the one in the little pouches, or even cheaper, the ones in the 1 kgr carton boxes. Unrefined, can be sometimes a whole piece of - rock - when standing somewhere where it is humid...
