RVP - annual proof of residency etc.

    Hi

I received my RVP last year. The date of issue was 12 July. But I only actually received it in October (because we were unable to find out if it was approved or ready before that). Now, a year later, I have to hand in various documents to prove I live here. But which date do I have to do that - the date on the RVP, or the date of receipt? The man at the local 'My Documents' says the latter, but my wife thinks it's the former, because of various lawyers etc. that she's spoken to. She's worried that if I leave it to October, I'll end up getting some kind of administrative penalty. I just wanted to see if anyone here had a definitive answer.

    Thanks!

You have from July 12 to September 12 to do your annual confirmation.

Check your last address registration. Validity date is there.

In the end we did it in the period around the first date. We managed this due to my wife being very persistent with the man at 'My Documents' and not taking no for an answer. I can't say what would have happened had we waited.
