-Protesters-? this is scum, the worst there is. and should be treated by the police as such. burning, looting, smashing cars and shop windows has nothing to do with protest. Time that the law wakes up there and as Macrow vows, take action. but it does not help much when the police catch them. and the next shyster lawyer and a corrupt judge let them go again. and again and again. to bad -Papillon- Island is no more. Might be a good alternative for quite a few of them!

Apart from standing up against invaders, violent protesting against their own government is a French national sport; they are world leaders in such political activity!

Sometimes you need to smash up things to get your way when protesting, just marching and chanting low fuel taxes ,then heading home, isn't going to change anything, even if there were 500000 on the streets.
A million were on the streets in London protesting the Iraq war, nothing done, the UK still went to war, 500000 few months ago in London protesting Brexit, nothing.
I'm not sure if you remember the UK poll tax riots in 1990? Thatcher tried to put a new tax on the people and all hell broke loose.

    from wiki,

The riot in central London did much to contribute to the downfall of Margaret Thatcher,[citation needed] who resigned as Prime Minister on 28 November the same year. The national opposition to the poll tax (especially vehement in the north of England and Scotland) was the major factor; an opinion poll had found 78% opposed to it.[13] John Major, who succeeded Thatcher, announced that the tax would be abolished.

Let's see closer to Brexit, if the UK masses go out again on the streets.

they are doing it completely wrong. the scum who are burning, smashing, breaking in and looting, have only their own interests in mind. let the protesters, peacefully, occupy the CITY, sit on the Tower Bridge so it can not open for traffic to pass. disrupt but do not destroy business. keep the Bentleys and Rollses and Merces of the Fat Cats from going to their banks and nice offices. barikade entry to the stock exchange. peacefully with TV all over the place. everyone has an iPhone, a camera, send PEACEFULL pictures out to the world. for a few days, a few weeks, hit the - Pfeffersäcke- where it really hurts them. At their business! and than and only than Madame May will have to react and so something. Rioting will bring nothing but teargas, water cannons and hate. Hate from the -locals- for they will and ARE blaming all the immigrants for all the woes that ail England. But to do that one needs leaders with a will and charisma. that for sure is missing over there. they do not have one. so it is just everyone against everyone and everything.

I disagree, your way would lead to nothing, look at what's happened now, Macron is meeting with the protests groups, before he just brushed them off.
This was a one day protest, on a Saturday like last week, then it's back to work, now they have sent a strong message , deal now or next Saturday will be much worse.

PM to meet protest groups after worst unrest in decade

So, either one set will protest/riot, hopefully not at the same time, one protesting, the other celebrating.

https://kurier.at/politik/ausland/ge...rand/400341979 according to this article Macron APPARENTLY wants to negotiate. but who with? the -yellow vests- have apparently no leader to negotiate with. on top of it, they do not even know themselves what they want.
this is obvious comparing not even apples to pears but peaches and bananas but it will need a GHANDI and his salt marches,https://www.thoughtco.com/what-was-g...t-march-195475, to get things going. these scum are only wanting to smash and destroy. the -yellow vests- have no intention whatsoever to negotite anything.

Macron will send his PM to meet the groups, it's better to talk than to have more riots.

Take the UK, if we are to believe the experts, the UK is head for financial ruin, mass unemployment, etc. do you think 1 million people waving banners and blowing whistles will change anything?

indeed let the PM sort out the mess, if it goes wrong Macron can blame him. Macron himself will return to the G20, such a photo op he for sure will not want to miss.

Even the french students are protesting, Macron better make changes or this Saturday is going to much worse

No, the problem is from the anti-Brexiters.

As usual, the Left resorts to violence when they don't get their way, when they can't legislate in opposition to the will of the people, or get some judge to decree the people's will is illegal or unconstitutional, they start throwing rocks and shooting people.
