Sounds more like the SEC are robbers. Tax first and ask questions later.

They want "in" on the action.

It's not only that. There is loss of confidence in crypto-coins after so many forks. Bitcoin had 4 forks since August 2017. This year there is 20 forks for different coins including Litecoin, Monero and Ethereum. There are new miners with 7nm chips but it's not making much difference as difficulty is skyhigh. Video card mining is dead and that's why we're seeing video card prices falling.

I bought more just a day ago. It is a usual cycle, once it dropped from usd35 to usd2 or similar, the industry itself is developing very vibrantly. The best time to buy is when everyone is screaming "Bitcoin is dead! Bitcoin is a scam!" Well, it is not a scam, it is the technology that will replace many professions in the near future - accountants, warehouse keepers, notaries, etc.
There are some chances there may be an X-mas pump this year.
Remington, what is the profitability threshold for bitcoin mining? Guess it depends on the gear too. I have read some info on this, but it would be cool to hear from the field-savvy person like you about this. What is the bottom bitcoin price, profitability-wise, for the most sophisticated/fastest gear currently on the market?
