RIP, little hedgehog. What a sad loss! My condolences to his family and friends! We were in loose contact, his advice was always correct, good and helpful.

He was a hedgehog. They don't bother anyone and like to live in peace but have a prickly defense. He really made this site and worked hard for people trying to make their way in this strange land we love.

You are correct, Erik worked very hard for the benefit of many people and for no fee or commission.

Erik had a young family, but was regularly up late at night administrating the site and offering useful advice to newcomers - he touched so many lives in a very positive manner.

Ironically, although I knew Erik, I suppose many of those of he helped never had the opportunity or good fortune to meet him in the non-virtual world.
