while the headlines at the New York Times should have read: “Russia Crushes ISIS in Syria”, they instead focused on the trivial details of the latest sex scandal

They also don't talk about the US dropping support for the Kurds.

Yes, that's a big one, when will these minority groups realise that the US kicks you aside when you aren't needed anymore or when a new president comes in.

    All that's needed to know,

The aggression against the Syrian state initially saw a compact front comprising the United States, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar, Jordan, Israel, France and the United Kingdom. All were at the forefront of arming, training, financing, assisting and treating the injured of the tens of thousands of terrorists sent to Syria.
    And,

After the failure to remove Assad, the next step for Western policymakers was to deploy Daesh to create chaos and destroy the country, this diabolical force having been born as a result of America’s illegal occupation of Iraq.
    Finally,
Russia’s 2015 intervention in Syria, at the invitation of the legitimate government in Damascus, disrupted Western plans, bringing about the inevitable defeat of Daesh and consolidating Assad's power.

With turkey's invasion of North Syria, the Kurds and I think also Syrian rebels joining up with Assad, the war in Syria has taken another twist, how to predict the outcome of this one?

What a mess the US, Canada and some EU countries made of Syria, now they have packed up and more or less left, bastards.

Furthermore, if the Turks have a ground conflict with the Syrian Army, the RF will have no hesitation in driving Turkey back to its borders.................... this could become very interesting & dangerous if the RF come into direct conflict with a NATO member.............

That's true, but they have already found another umbrella of protection, now it's Russia's turn to be the only real superpower left in Syria.

From an article in the guardian.

Russian units have begun patrolling territory separating Turkish-backed Syrian rebels from the Syrian army around the flashpoint town of Manbij in north-east Syria, in a clear sign that Moscow has become the de facto power broker in the region after the evacuation of US troops.

Oleg Blokhin, a Russian journalist usually attached to mercenaries in Syria, posted a video on social media on Tuesday from a deserted US military base in the village of al-Saadiya, near Manbij.

“They [the US] were here yesterday, we are here today,” he said. “Now we’ll see how they were living and what they were doing.”

Turkey is the black sheep of NATO, the US won't help Turkey (just add more sanctions on Turkey),besides, the relationship between Russia and Turkey is at an all time high, these two will now make a deal, hopefully.

Turkey should leave NATO and join the upcoming Russian , Iran and China alliance.Even the Saudis might be looking for a new ally.
