Most major Western cities have a "Chinatown". Is Prospect Mira turning into Moscow's Chinatown

You're right, same place, I always thought it was a Chinese restaurant.Shame if that's closed down, they have a good business lunch, all you can eat for 300ru from the buffet + drink.. Maybe it's a store at the back of the restaurant..

Chinatown in Philly is just north of the CBD at 16th & Market Strs. Little Italy is in South Philly and comes complete with Italian Market and mobsters, like "Skinny Joey" Merlino

because these questions come up quite often.
    where to find chinese food?
    where to find japanese food?
    where to find thai goods?

and so all these specialty stores might be together in one place?
There is no greater treasure then pleasure....

Wow, are there many people in Moscow interested in Chinese food?

Lol, no, thank you very much. I am surrounded by Chinese food every day, so nothing to miss.
It's interesting that I've never known or been to such places in Moscow. It's because I've never cared enough for Chinese food

Thanks for the tip. I will go check it out and hopefully stop moaning about the lack of Chinese food (why must I crave chow fun every time I'm hungry?)

It's amazing how I never miss Chinese food when I am out of China. Even for longish periods of time! I constantly read posts by fellow expats how they try to find Chinese food joints in their home countries after they move back.

I think I can safely say that I could happily live my whole life without Chinese food

I only have a Vietnamese cafe nearby, so I got a wok + the sauces & spices & noodles for when I crave Chinese or Japanese food. The prep time takes longer than the actual wok frying - plus it's a 1-pot cleanup
