Money transfer - UK to Russia

    Hi

Funny, I have trawled the posts in this section and can't seem to find any advice about transferring money into Russia - not surprisingly, they all advise on transferring funds the other way!!

I need to move money from UK bank to Raiff. Any tips, or just stock standard international payment?

Yes, these terrible foreigners always want to bite more of our huge national treasure and drag into their poor countries...

First of all I think you should open the account in Raiffeisen in the currency they offer (AFAIK they do RUB, EUR and USD, not sure about GBP).
Then just ask them about funds transfer from UK and follow their advices.

Pls check conversion rates in Raiffeisen and your domestic UK bank, if you'll need to convert to USD or EUR, and conditions on transfer of sums in different currencies.

Make sure you don't transfer too much , as it will be a true pain to transfer it back!
