    SAD light-adapter issue

I have battled SAD since my late teens and have been using a SAD light in the winter for several yrs during the months I spent in Alaska. Moscow is a little better in that at least it's light by 9am in December! My question is this- will the darn thing work up to the full spectrum lighting capability on an adapter? I have not used adapters for anything in Russia since I tried my hairdryer back in high school(what a joke it was).I have the chance to get my light into Moscow now and I know these lights can't be found in Moscow. Anyone else have/use one of these very helpful buggers? I really don't want to winter w/o it but don't want to have it if I can't use it. Please advise.

I'm not an expert on this subject, but Osram (Phillips) does business in Russia; I can't see any reason why you could not buy this type of light from them. http://www.osram.ru

Hey this is good! Thanks. Now I can only hope they don't cost 400+bucks like the one I have does......
