Shurale is in the Hot Seat

So the next guy on the hot seat is Shurale. I think he is very talkative person and he will be glad to join to the hot seat, over and above he agreed on my proposal to do it.

    Let me start...

    1. When did you start play chess?
    2. Have you ever won chess competition?
    3. What do you do for fun?
    4. Which universities have you finished?
    5. What kind of sport do you prefer?
    6. Do you watch "ProjectorPerisHilton"?
    7. What is your favorite movie?
    8. Do you like winter with snow?

    Let's see.....

    1) Have you ever shouted chess phrases during a moment of passion?
    2) If somebody confronts you in a dark alley will you fight or run away?
    3) What language do you prefer for swearing?

First of all, I have to prepare today
    to my lessons tomorrow.

    1. My Dad taught me when I was 6.
    2. Yes, I have. But there are competitions and competitions.
    3. What is fun?
    4. I should have gotten my legal degree. What I have is pretty useless.
    5. Chess is a sport, and my favourite one. I used to do a score of other sports in order to be fit and play chess better.

    http://www.playboy.co.uk/life-and-st...arry-Kasparov/

"Kasparov: Are you crazy? Let me tell you a secret: Chess is the most violent of all sports. I'm a pretty good soccer player and a long-distance swimmer, and recently, I've taken up tennis, but I can tell you that there's no sport as competitive--yes, I'll say as rough--as chess."

    "
Playboy: Is championship-level chess as tough physically as it is mentally?

Kasparov: Absolutely. In serious competition, if you lose your energy or if you have psychological problems, you can be destroyed. Before a world-championship match, I have to prepare myself physically with just as much care as for the chess itself. Running and swimming are the best for me--two or three hours every day. I also play soccer and some tennis, but mostly, it's the sea and the sun.

Playboy: You're built more like King Kong than like the garden-variety chess player. Do you lift weights or do strength training? Or do those muscles come from just pushing pawns?

Kasparov: No, I've never lifted weights. My energy comes from the sun and the sea. I develop my arms and shoulders and chest with long-distance swimming. This sort of conditioning is very important for chess marathons. Probably, it's because of that that I didn't lose the marathon match against Karpov, when I was behind 5-0. I was in better shape than he was."

    7. Not even curious what it is
    8. Russian, European or American?
    9. I like fresh snow, it covers well canine shite. On the other hand, canine shite and urine is much too visible on old snow. Therefore, grass is better.

    1) What do you mean by 'a moment of passion'? Orgasm?
    2) As I grow older I prefer not to walk into dark alleys... unless I want to confront somebody there.
    3) I may mix two. An English adjective with a Czech noun or an English adhective with a Russian noun.

Nice to now you are on the hot seat, due to Flaey introducing you so well in your fondness of Chess. For me I got interested in Chess since the age of 16, when I went to Merchant Navy training. I gave up on it a while untill I decided to teach my children. I have now got interested in it more recently by playing on the computer. I love the game, as it must be one of the few games where you don't play for luc. Hence a brilliant game.

But my first basic question would be is. Why do call football soccer when you are not American?

Do I? Did I? Actually, I don't care what it is called. Firstly, I never liked team games. Secondly, even at school I preferred to run a few kilometers rather than play soccer/football with my classmates.

I don't want to hijack the thread and if you all think it necssary, I'll start a new one but chess is a sport??? I would have thought not. Interesting, challenging, cerebral and strategic but not a sport.

It's not usually considered sport, because it is not sport for the masses.
Unlike soccer where anybody with legs can kick the ball.

Shurale, the crowd wants to know:

Why 'Shurale', you come across as quite a friendly sort?
Do real men eat breakfast? and if so what?
What is the best piece of advice you've ever been given?

    Thanks Matt

    Shurale,

be honest, when you made this "declaration" you were really referring to a chess opening ?

Secondly, you did not answer the question !
