    Mardi Gras is more about defacing the statute of Andrew Jackson in Old Town Square, being snatched off the street to ride with Hell's Angels, and getting drunk on weak American beer and peeing off balconies onto the crowds below....

    What's a good place to have pancakes? I remember going to a chain cafe near Oktyabrskaya (can't remember the name) and it wasn't great to put it mildly...

    There are little kiosk wagons all over Moscow called "Teremok" that sell them with just about anything inside you want, including black caviar. Very cheap and very tasty.
