the Big Break Festival - Oct. 30 to Nov. 8

Friday next week, Oct. 30, the new edition of the Theatre Festival for children is starting:

... " The main aim of the festival is to introduce the young audience to the best productions from Russia and abroad.

Another important objective is to create a debating forum for discussing the key issues of theatre for young audiences in Russia today, involving major Russian and international experts in this sphere.

The programme of the Festival is formed by a group of experts in the sphere of theatre for children, by major theatre critics from Russia and abroad.

The programme consists of five main sections:

    1. RUSSIAN PRODUCTIONS FOR CHILDREN
Best productions from Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Nizhniy Novgorod, Samara.

    2. INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMME OF PRODUCTIONS FOR CHILDREN
Best productions from Italy, Great Britain, Denmark, The Netherlands, the U.S.A., Canada, Estonia, Mexico and Sweden."

etc. for more details, have a look at the official website:
Большая перемена Московский Международный фестивальТеатра для детей

I just heard a program about it on the radio.
They said "Durak", (the Idiot, presented by a Swedish company, is a MUST). and all the plays at the Maly Dramatichesky Teatr are excellent. There seems to be plays for ALL ages, included a show for 0-3 years old babies...

    ENJOY!
