    made it to Rostov

We made it after surviving the flight, the train ride but mainly the Moscow taxi driver, we are in Rostov! We have a little, 3 room, apartment near the cathederal. Could not quite make last Friday's meeting but are hoping to next time. Internet is supposed to get hooked tomorrow. Good thing, my eyes have about had it writing this post on the phone.

Congratulations! Have a nice time, more fun and less problems there.
Moscow taxi drivers are maybe less crazy than their Rostov and Krasnodar colleagues, though, you'll see it... Which train you've used for the trip?

So the devil was not so awful as he was described (Russian proverb). Now don't forget about Pivnaya Biblioteka, Chester Pub and LevBerDon!
Hint: much of the country is train #002 Moscow-Vladivostok. 6 days

Sorry about the delay. Still no Internet after being promised it would be hooked up every day for the last week! Ah, well as I have been told - it is Russia.

I will look up the vodka and the pub.

We will be in Moscow for a Fulbright orientation Sunday to Tuesday. Monday we are tied up from 10:00 - 18:00. We will be at the Holiday Inn and the US Embassy finishing up with a walking tour of Moscow (that lasts until 18:00). Then we leave at 17:40 on Tuesday. Any chance of a drink or breakfast or getting together?

Best to write through my email - jtbaun@verizon.net.

    Best,

    John

[lang=ru]Rostov Great and Rostov-on-Don is two different cities!

Rostov Great it near to Moscow. 202 km. Lake Nero!

Rostov-on-Don - a southern city. The river Don runs into sea of Azov.[/lang]
