The deal is not whether or not the groundhog crawls out of its burrow. The deal is whether or not it sees its shadow. Unfortunately, I no longer remember whether seeing its shadow or not seeing its shadow means that there will be six more weeks of Winter.
I didn't want to leave you with incomplete information so I googled it. If it sees its shadow, there will be six more weeks of winter.
Thanks nbogaard! I've heard something about the shadow also, but as I understood, if it sees its shadow it goes back to the burrow? Otherwise, how will you know that it has seen its shadow?Quote:
