View Full Version : HELP - Exit visa for my wife?

My Russian wife will have her immigration interview at the Canadian Embassy in 3 weeks, at which time they should (finally) grant her the visa. Our plan is at New Years I will come to Moscow to visit and she will come back with me.

I know she will need some sort of exit visa to leave the country but we're both a little clueless of the requirements.

Are there different types of exit visas?

Where does she apply & what documents are required?

How long does it take?

Any help would be greatly appreciated by us both.

Under the new (current) constitution Russians don't need an exit visa.

Thanks for the info. Now all we need is visa and all is hopefully set.

It's been a big pain dealing with the Canadian Consulate, 3 times they requested more paperwork (most of which had been already submitted with the original application). Hopefully she has her interview and that's the end of it.
