Just about 20 more hours and I should be landing in Moscow! Been waiting for this trip for a while. I go to western Europe quite often, try to get out there about 3 times a year. However, at the end of the 2 or 3 week period I already want to go home. This is not the case with Moscow, every time I leave, it gets harder and harder to say goodbye.

Anyone else feel the same way?

Peyote,
The weather does work against you most of the time but when it's nice, you are really thankful and enjoy every minute of it!

I have some last minute shopping to do a little later, are you craving something from the west that you cant get in Moscow?

thank you, boris, that's a kind offer but it will probably be illegal... ;) i'll buy you a beer here and we'll talk about that "weather" thing.

now, let's check that place of yours...

there is a town in north ontario,
with dream comfort memory to spare,
and in my mind
i still need a place to go...

Just start living here - it will soon take care of that feeling!!

I agree with DPG - the longer you live here the quicker you'll lose that feeling!

Stef - I meant my response as a positive i.e. - not needing to feel that "leaving feeling" because I like the place and therefore stay here instead of visit...although I do always get excited at the prospect of a trip anywhere, especially if it's back home...

DPG hon...I know you do...(you're a nice guy like most on this site!) but I deliberately took it to mean the opposite as I am completely jaded after so much time in this gulag and plan to run screaming from it and the pondlife that dwell herein a.s.a.p!!!
