Anyone here eat the dried fish set out in the beer section of most grocery sections? How does one eat it? In a sandwich with mayo? With ketchup? Is it eaten whole like swallowing gold fish? Please enlighten me for the stuff does not smell let alone look too appetizing...

I see, you are moving slowly (but in your own slippers) to complete assimilation, but please no mayo, no ketchup - just eat it as it is, you can peel it though. I heard it is good for calcium deficiency.

That's what I'm trying to say for the past 10 minutes, you can't get poisoned from Vobla, but you can from suchi.
OK that's enough - i need a drink. :cry::cry::cry:

Yea, me too. (drink that is) This tread has long run it's purpose. LOL I am not convinced about this vobla stuff. Last year at the Moscow beer fest I met a few people that live on the Azur Sea and they treated me with some dried and salted fish they caught. They were not keepers as to the standards I have been grown used to, measuring no more than a few centimeters each. Where they tasty? No, but I did not wish to offend them so I offered some pistashios in return. So, the moral of the story is: When offered vobla always have a kilo of pistachios on hand for a quaint and harmonious experience. Worked for me! lol

That's what I was going to say! Do you really need that so strange a thing as vobla?
I think it was just kind of chit-chat.
