There should be a health forum.
Yes, you should have a disclaimer like "no, the people answering your questions are not doctors and people love giving out uninformed advice" but it would be nice to have a forum where we could all be resources for one another without listening to "ask the quack" who just answers that we should go pay $200 for a consultation for every question.
Of course we should go to the doctor if something is wrong but we should have a place to talk about those doctors and common phenomena as well.
sorry if i sound all bitchy and semi-incoherent again. i'm a little freaked out. and i could really use a health forum.
oh, and it would be nice if the health forum were strictly moderated (i'll do it) and had an anon option. we don't all want everyone else to know where our new-found lumps are.

I suppose our own local Dr. Limitchik wouldn't qualify? ;) Only kidding. Not a bad idea Polly.

23-04-2004, 09:46
no, but i think limitchik can stick to the hypochondriacs tho.

how on earth could we stay anonymous?

23-04-2004, 10:12
i dunno, but i'm not the administrator! (i think it can be done, but i'm not sure.)

Are you saying hypochondria does not exist or are you saying that hypochondriacs don't deserve the same treatment as the rest of us?

23-04-2004, 10:22
where are your new-found lumps?

23-04-2004, 10:26

why can't we discuss our delicate health problems in Better Half?

I don't want to hear about prolapsed piles:eek: or premature ejaculation:eek:

well i am a part-time hypochondriac and just think that there should be a folder for the more serious hypochrondrionic (hey! new word!) attacks.
trebor: i will be felt up by a professional on monday. already too much info i'm sure.

23-04-2004, 10:30

everything is gonna be fine.

It's a word from a professional hypohondriac (I'm)

23-04-2004, 10:32
Yes - good idea for threads on subjects like diets, allergies, where to find meds, etc.

23-04-2004, 10:47
i'm a professional and i could "feel you up" for a lot less than he will.
Promise to warm my hands first!

it will be a "she" thank you very much. not to mention i'm sure you aren't all that experienced with a speculum...

i noticed that since i resigned from dr. limitchik's practice the tumbleweeds have been blowing through the forum. i'm thinking of buying it on the cheap and setting up a gynaecology practice.

23-04-2004, 11:29
i'll have you know my "speculum" has probed many a young lady and i havn't had any complaints.
To help you change your mind i'm even willing to give you a free consultation!

23-04-2004, 11:39
i didn't mean any facetious specula. i already have one of those, and am quite pleased with it. in fact i am engaged to it and the man attached to it. so thanks for the consulation offer but i'm afraid you'll have to solicit elsewhere.
