For some reason most men prefer blondes.
Do you?

I abstain. I think women can be sexy either brunette or blonde. I'm completely indifferent.

I agree with Sevan. None of those women pictured above do it for me particularly, but on the other hand, I guess I wouldn't kick 'em outta bed for eating crackers either...

[17/11/04 Edited by me because my stunning girlfriend is blonde!!//DPG:-)]

For me, I'm with the chaps above - takes more than hair colour to determine the beauty or attractiveness of a woman...

Ghost

Ok, sensitive subject for me.

First, hair must be long. Short hair is a definite turn off to me. It's not feminine in my opinion, and the one thing that Russian women could improve on is this category. There are lots of Russian women with short hair. I don't get it. Shoulder length or longer. There are exceptions where certain women can pull the short style off - see Annette Benning.

Next is the style of the hair. As long as it's long, all styles are usually acceptable - however, a few earn extra points:

1. Pony tails - These have always scored higher on my chart, particularly if the woman has a beautiful neck. Some women have high necks, cute ears and an excellent jaw bone which is accented by a good pony tail. Add to the fact that occasionally, if you're near to her and she turns her head suddenly, you get whipped by the hair - which can be very sexy. An extra bonus to the pony tail category is the high pony tail, which tends to take on an almost gothic look - but not quite.

2. Just "had sex" hair - Women think that they always have to brush it, etc. No. Sometimes a somewhat messy head of hair - particularly long - has an aggressive feel to it. And I like aggressive women. It's a "Yeah, my hair's messed - what the F you care?" kind of attitude. And I like it.

3. The hair "up" look (see below image) - very classy, has a bit of the pony tail and just had sex hair combined look. Excellent for very nice earrings.

http://www.hairstyles1.com/hairstyles/devil%20may%20care%20updo.jpg

Next is color:

I don't really care blonde or brunette, but I've always had a thing for redheads. Not the fake red look that many Russian girls use that makes them look like the mating of a carrot and a tomato, but real redhead and freckles look. Dunno what it is. But color isn't important in the end.

Lastly, smell/touch:

The smell of hair is important, and women don't quite fully understand it's power. A perm smell, or hair spray smell, doesn't attract your man to your head (which then leads him to your face and kisses). But if the hair smells pleasant and feels nice, your man will want to approach you and stand behind you while he smells your hair - very sexy indeed. Don't know if I'm wording it right, but don't care either.

A woman's hair is borderline fetish for me, I guess - and it can definitely attract or repel me.

You asked!

Ghost
22-04-2004, 11:28
Oh, one additional thing - women who wear baseball caps with the pony tail in the back.

Down, tiger! Down!

sevan
22-04-2004, 11:32
DPG - I was talking about the photos that were posted, which included a pic of Sandra Bullock!

Gotta agree with Ghost that color isn't the most important, but real redheads...oh, real redheads....there's more to them than just the hair.

I had this feeling that you are a control freak. now I'm sure.

Ghost
22-04-2004, 11:43
I am a control freak. So what? I'm only a control freak over my own destiny. I don't tell any woman in a relationship with me how to act, dress, what to wear, etc. She does what she wants, and I'm fine with it. But if she wonders why I'm not touching her or flirting with her much, I'll tell her whatever is causing the problem in attraction. If she chooses to ignore it, that's her choice.

But sexual energy is an important part of any relationship and it is a fragile, delicate thing. You need to nurture it explicitly by understanding exactly what your partner likes/wants, and then using all of those talents to your advantage. Hair is a huge female advantage, and if she ignores that advantage, she does so at her own peril.

Alethea
22-04-2004, 11:48
normally i don't like fighting with men. I'm far too feminine and tender for that.
But every time I read your posts I feel an urge to join the most radical feministic group.

Ghost
22-04-2004, 11:51
Alright, now I'm getting defensive. Shall we make this into a battle again?

You asked a question, I stated my answers and what's more - why I feel that way. You called me a control freak, so I defended my answer further.

Now I'm fighting?

What the **** is wrong with you people?

Generally agree with Ghost -- some women can pull off the short hair thing and the results can be quite sexy. However, usually the longer the better. I realize that long hair is more of a pain in the *** to take care of, and most of us men are spoiled by being able to get out of the shower, take a towel to the head (comb optional) and off we go. But long is SEXY! DON'T CUT IT!!

Now, what about you women out there? What kind of hair do you prefer on a man? Short buzz cut, GQ styled, long and shaggy, blond, brown, bald (see other thread). Saw a program on TV last night about "Metrosexuals" -- basically straight males that were into manicures, hairstyles, shaving pu**ic hair, and even some make up. Does this turn you girls on??

Blondes? Who are blondes really? Brunettes with a good die job? I can't remember the last time I saw a "true" blonde. I don't understand the "obession" women have with being "blonde." Is it that big of a deal? I do know one thing - any redhead (ginger) who colors her natural red hair into blonde, brunette, whatever, should be sent to the GULag!!! It's a crime against humanity!!!

Seventies pop star, Debbie Harry has been voted the all-time school boy crush - and she was blonde!

3. Linda Ludardi
4. Olivia Newton-John (!)
5. Jessica Rabbit
6. Carrie Fisher
7. Felicity Kendall
8. Linda Carter
9. Kelly Le Brock

I tried all colors from jet black to strawberry blond, all hair styles from virgin plaits to aggressive short BUT it had nothing to do with the sexuality. Being sexy, having sex appeal means being self -confident and IT makes everybody else believe that u r just the girl. Choose the style u r comfortable with and those who are not happy with it may go and . U know.

P.S.
It is not only HAVING this or that hair color\ style, it is also keeping it neat (as well as the rest of your body).

Auburn/Chestnut/Ginger rules! Especially when combined with big, deep blue eyes, like Latvian women have.

Natural golden blondes come a close second, regardless of eye color.

Prefer natural brunettes to bleached blondes, though. Natural is best anytime!

Manicure and make up ... ok, that's perhaps too much. But guys with dark long hair drive me crazy. :iloveyou: With girls that's the same thing - i find long hair more sexy, no matter what color it is. Mine is long chestnut :p
Still there are quite many girls with short hair who are very attractive and feminine. So hair is not the most important thing... but an advantage :queen:

God made two kinds of people, the ugly ones he covered with hair.

Blokes - has to be short , not so the scalp can be seen, not fussy about colour, it's the eyes and the smile that counts.

God is not a barber or a hairdresser to do your hairstyle. Besides, hair grows out long naturally unless you cut it.
There were times when long hair was a usual thing for men, they even wore wigs.
Just the matter of taste and fashion.

Upper-class Europeans (men and women) wore wigs for several centuries because they shaved their heads in an attempt to combat lice. Of course, the richer you were, the bigger the wig you could afford, so large and elaborate ones became something of a status symbol.

Wigs went out of fashion around the turn of the 18th--19th centuries (improved hygiene?), and hairstyles became shorter generally (compare portraits of, e.g., Louis XIV and Napoleon).

Lice, of course, persisted anyway.

If you're ever fortunate enough to catch Elizabeth R on television, note that Glenda Jackson, who is simply brilliant in the role of QE I, actually shaved her head for the part!

There are marks of white-on on the screen.

It's common to critisise dyed (not natural color) blonds ... at least many people love to stress: her hair is dyed!
Actually I would like to say a word of support with a touch of humour: a dyed blond is the best! because on one hand - she is a blond, and attracts attention; on another hand she has the brain of a brunette :-)

Combines the best features ;-P

No more wigs! New generation chooses natural long hair!
------------------------------------

Once upon a time in a night-club there was a girl standing in front of me. She had beautiful long blond hair, with curly locks falling down her shoulders.... when I looked attentively, I saw that this hair was fake. Every lock was sealed to her own shirt hair, somewhere around the root. It was so disgusting to see! I was wondering, what would a guy feel when he tried to run his fingers through her hair! :(

Well maybe I am abit deeper in this aspect. But to me it would matter if someting looks good from the distance i would be disappointed if at a closer look it would dramatically change. It`s the same with those wonder-bra`s hehehe :D - Looks good good from the distance, but when you take it off, you wonder where they are...

For one thing, redheads are rare and should therefore be treasured like gemstones or fine wines.

Second, the color (especially a deep, reddish-brown chestnut or auburn) simply drives men like myself wild with desire. It must be some physiochemical reaction to those particular wavelengths of light or something, but hey: let's not try to analyze it too deeply. It just is!

Third, redheads tend to have a lovely creamy pink complexion that also drives some of us mad with desire. (In my case, freckles really do it for me!)

Match all that with deep blue, green, or hazel eyes and you have a woman whose looks are irresistable!

..with today's hairdressing skills you can be today a blonde, tomorrow black and after tomorrow green if that what your 'present' man prefers....
if he loves you, he will not care if your hair is short / long or looks like if a mouse has built her nest there...
beauty is only skindeep and the color of hair is only 'rootdeep'

It all depends on the face. I like strawberry blond, but it take a face that "works", with it.

Same with most Although, on a young woman, punk red, gives them a wild look I like too.

You see blondes and brunettes are two completely different types of people. Blondes have always been smiled at by strangers, let in on men's night out, invited to parties, the fun ones in high school, dressing comfortably. This is just the way they have always been treated, so they have a higher confidence in life. On the other hand, brunettes have always been ignored by strangers, forgotten when their blonde best friend meets a guy, passed up for job offers, dressing to impress because it is the only way to stay popular. The more common and less desireable kind. It is the way people are treated that make them confident or not. What I am saying here is that brunettes need to be more confident and easygoing to even have a chance at getting the cream of the crop in life. Yes, lighter colored hair is more feminine. Yes,Long hair is naturally prettier and yes, brunettes are more sophisicated because they have to be. :bookworm:
