Where do you think is the LARGEST choice of DVDs movies for sale?
When I go into these DVD shops here - I never know what kind of sporadic collection they have...

unfortunately this is true. And I tried to search Purple Legion site and it is not at all well-developped. Do you prefer to go to the shop and not order in something like Интернет-магазин OZON.ru - книги, видео, музыка, софт, игры, электроника, dvd, антиквариат (http://www.ozon.ru) or Книжный интернет-магазин Болеро: книги, видео, музыка, программы, игрушки, пресса, подарки. Доставка курьером, почтой. (http://www.bolero.ru) or the like?
But sometimes they bring you not what you ordered but "almost the same" as they did for me - now I have DVD "Ship of fools" with german soundtrack instead of english.:grind:

Have you tried Gorbushka at Filevsky Park? There the choice is more ample, though a bit chaotic, for both licensed and unlicensed DVDs (if you are not too principled about copyrights) but you should always better check their quality on their DVD player before buying (at least to make sure they can be played, sometimes they can't :()

One problem I do find here is the lack of dvds with an english language option. You have to pay so much more to get it.

My girlfriend's grandfather lives in KuzMinki, and there's a super DVD store built into what looked like it was a gas station right next to the metro. I think it acts now was the drop off/pick up for the free bus to the Mega shopping mall.

Anyway, they have a fine range of DVDs for a store their size, and, inface a brilliant range of classics from the 40s, 50s and 60s.

Its by far the best place I've found apart from Gorbushka, which is miles away from where I work and from where I live.
That being said, Gorbushka is by a long, long way, the best place to get DVDs in Moscow.
