Hi to all the girls!

I need some advice, i've only recently moved to Moscow and haven't been properly clothes shopping yet because i don't really know where... so if you spot someone walking around looking like they've just come from a farm that would be me!

So where would you recommend from your personal experience? I'm not looking for anything "upmarket" and overpriced, just something middle-rage and affordable, i've heard Mexx and Mango were popular? I'm in my twenties and work in finance so will be looking for a mix of smart and going out clothes & boots & coats/jackets. I don't mind travelling to an outlet shopping centre if they have them here (btw i live in north moscow) so any names/links to websites/ screesnhots of googlemaps with locations etc would be much appreciated!

Thank you

Oksana

You may try Olympisky Stadium, on Olympisky prospekt, at the top of the stadium, there's some shops that sell last seasons clothes at like 50% discount, their opened mon to sun.

Hi Roxy, wellcome to Moscow :10220:.
I had the same problem when i moved here, that was last year in may, but the good thing was that i had a lot of free time for investigating the market and find good and cheap clothes shops.
I can recommend you a shop which i was happy to discover, Discount Center- discountcenter dot ru, here in moscow are 5 of them, big shops, most of them 3-4 levels building, where you can find from sport, street wear, office style, men, children, almost everything and very afordable prices. and you are lucky because now is sale time ;)
U can PM me where u aprox live or work and i can point the closest shop.

outlets....here not too many, but i've heard that is it in plan to open a big complex somewhere outside of moscow. When i was living in Hungary, Budapest i used to go often and shop in outlets, there are lots of them, i remember buying a lot of good and cheap things in mango, intimissimi, tom tailor, i miss that times.

but here you can find some good places too, so good luck.

Hello! Thank for the advice, that really helps :)
I will go and check out the discount centre, sounds perfect, the webside listed all five addresses and also will take a trip to Olimpiskaja.

I tried the market the other day, and foreigner must be written all over my face, because when i just want to browse the sales people are like glue and i dont know how to get away... whats the best way to politely say, "i don't want to buy anything here leave me alone!!!!"? I've even been offered to be escorted to the cash-point when i used the excuse i dont have enough cash on me... sooo annoying... agggrr

Just make an indifferent face and say by high and mighty voice "Spasibo, ja prosto posmotrju"
It works. They have nothing to do then just leave you alone:sunny::trampoline::mml::D:
