election rhetoric, for mainly domestic use. the votes from the army and МЧС he has already. it is not about that he will win, there is no doubt about it. but it is all about percentages. anything less than 80%might look bad. so this hard talk is for these votes who are still waxing for the old cccp days. maybe even the communists will vote for him?
and all the arms and armament factories for sure. because they will get work to do.

at the white press conference the dotard 'frontman' lost her cool when asked about this, link below. seems the russians have tested a nuclear powered cruise missile that can fly for months. also nuclear powered torpedos. They already had torpedos that could go 5 times faster than the americans. supercavitating...so just rubbing their noses in what we already know about american students coming last in maths.

Russian state media is simply not taken seriously in the US and West for obvious reasons. I think if RT wants to gain more credibility and be taken seriously it should confont its own power elites and engage in investigative journalism both at home and in the West. I honestly can't recall a single time RT has contributed an original investigative report. Even Qatar's mouthpiece Al Jazeera did something worthwhile, an expose on American steroid users a few years ago.

All RT has to do is listen to talk radio, then they get their stories that the media doesn't cover.

Ah,ha,ha no, please stop! I am laughing so hard I almost spit out my vodka.

American news media are the biggest liars on the planet. You do understand that the US government wants to ban RT because they tell the truth right? RT was not caught lying they were accused of pointing out America's problems and trying to sew discontent. I would also point out that RT America is full of Americans, not Russians.

I neither watch CNN nor Fox so I don't need to defend them when pointing out that RT has zero credibility as a news organization beyond Russian borders. Sorry but it is what it is.

Here's a current sampling of RT's hardhitting stories just this second:

Marie Clarie: Why Women support Putin
Western Media is in absolute elation over Putin's address
Yanukovych reveals threatening letter he received from the West
Ukrainian neo-Nazis recruit fighters among the British Ultra-right.
Putin: the West can't match our military technology.

Awesome. )

Ignatius did not say he approves of American media.

I don't watch Fox, CNN, or anything else. I watched RT the other day (the version on freeintertv.com), I couldn't take it for more than 30 minutes. The crawl that repeats every half-minute, a substitute soporific.

Although there were some expository pieces not covered in Western media, the RT opinion pieces, one featuring a Russian Jimmy Kimmel (unfunny comedian pretending to be serious political commentator), and most stories, are all attacking "capitalism" even though Russia is now a capitalistic country. (Huh?) And they don't explain what is wrong with capitalism or even what it is. (What?) Too similar, in contraposition, to the Western media, attacking "racism" and "sexism" although they, too, never bother to define the inflammatory words. (Huh?)

A TV in your living room broadcasting the "news" is good for background noise and to scare away burglars. :)

monopoly capitalism and capitalism are in fact different. It's the version of capitalism in america that many people object to.

Capitalism and 'corporations having the politicians in their pocket rule' are two different things.

What many may object to in the West is when a foreign state media (RT, AJ, BBC, Deutsche Well) broadcasts freely in the West on Western channels and in English but the foreign state doesn't reciprocate.

The neo-nazi Ukraine story was first in the guardian, does that give it more credibility?

Neo-Nazi groups recruit Britons to fight in Ukraine

Neo-Nazi groups involved in the fighting in Ukraine are actively seeking to recruit British far-right activists, a leading anti-fascist watchdog has warned.

At least two Britons are thought to have travelled to the war-torn eastern European country in recent months after encouragement by people linked to the Azov battalion, a notorious Ukrainian fascist militia, according to Hope Not Hate.

The other headlines you mentioned are probably all true too...can't blame RT for writing about the truth...
It depends what section of RT you're looking at, you can find such headlines under the Russian section in the Daily Mail "world News " section, and the Russian section of the Guardian.

Here are other headlines from RT.

One of my personal favorites, the five most evil companies.

I heard about Nestle. (I think it was Nestle).

In Africa somewhere there was some water spring somewhere, and all the locals got their water there for free. Water should be free and in many places it is.

Anyway, Nestle got a hold of the water spring, started bottling the water. The spring was no longer available for the locals. The locals then had to BUY the water from Nestle. Now this is evil.

I am surprised the drug companies did not get a mention. There was one drug company that bought some patents. The raised the prices from about $15 per prescription to about $700...evil

I think Dotard should visit Norway to promote migration to Flint, where I am sure there are plenty of vacant houses to be filled. Perhaps this town is where winners of US visa lotteries are permitted to reside.

They would have go with top ten for drug companies, they're 6, 7, and 8.

Nestle is now trying to buy the second largest underground water aquifer. It's in South America.

The people in California didn't even have dirty water and Nestle kept bottling water and then it was found Nestle wasn't even paying for the rights!

If you googled the Guardian story (it's not linked on the RT Russian site) you'll see it's actually just 2 Brits who have joined neo-Nazis in Ukraine. RT conveniently didn't mention that. Go figure. RT steals other media stories and then criticizes them for being biased.

Guardian article says, 'at least" two Brits have joined, that's two they know about, definitely will be more, and not just from Britain..

The RT article (which I haven't read) sounds about right... at least they didn't say dozens have just joined...

It seems only RT is covering the protest in Kiev against the US installed government of Ukraine. I wonder why?

Can we have proof of these outrageous claims? RT could have been first. They were the first to report on the Occupy protest.

You don't find it strange that so many Ukrainians want someone other than a Ukrainian to be their leader? It would be very difficult with Georgia since he is up on corruption charges there in his home country.
