A couple of events to look forward to,

Moscow craft beer lovers won’t want to head out of town this weekend. The second small Russian breweries Big Craft Day 2016 will take place at Gostiny Dvor, just off Red Square, June 10-11. The event will feature live music, food trucks, souvenirs and more than 200 beers — 50 making their debut at the festival. Visitors will have the opportunity to mingle with the brewers and discuss the finer points of beer making. Check out the complete participant list.

Food? Oh yeah!
Not a beer lover? Don’t worry - the 'O da! Yeda!' ('Oh yes! Food!') food festival is also taking place this weekend, June 11-12, at Gorky Park.

The latest experimental food startups will rub shoulders with big restaurant holdings, street food and the newest entrants into Moscow’s health food craze. The festival territory will be divided into specific zones: library, master classes, outdoor theater, restaurant school, food styling pavilion and much more. There will also be an exhibit of the latest hi-tech culinary gadgets.

is there an entrance fee? the ad says nothing.
last week there was the taste Moscow at Lushniki, big ads all over the place. and than i got hot with a 500 r entrance fee. for ONE day. the show was 3 days....when there are exhibits at Krokus, a ticket goes for the whole event, even up to a week sometimes. on top of it at Lushniki it was rain and storm 3 days, either at noon or in the afternoon or in the evening. so one could not spend the whole day there. and 1500 just for the entrance fees? a rip off.
and how does one pay for the beer? or food? buy some tickets for ´tastes´, lets say 100 rubles....and one beer costs 5 tastes, and a steak 10 tastes? or what. i got very cynical and careful with exhibitions like that, most of them are a rip off. i do agree maybe withe entrance fee, keeps the freeloaders and babushkas with their trolleys out. but for that fee i also want to get something.

thank you, indeed i would like to get more information. though it still does not say how much is the entrance fee. and will it be valid for one day only or for both days. after all there is so much to see and taste it needs more than one day. but if the entrance fee is high,or valid only for one day, it is not worth it to go there.

I have looked at the GP event but could not see the hours of opening and closing , all I saw was an item stating Menu of the Day at 11:00 ?

the organizers should ask the PR agency to give them back their money. no hours of opening, no information which Metro station. which is important in Moscow.special in the center. because with your own car at Gostiny Dvor, there is no to next to nothing a chance to find a parking space. or pay through the nose in the few garages that are around there. all this should be right on the first page, not that one has to click around and look where and what and when.

Here's info about ticket price, I guess it's safe to say the event will be up and running by 11 am.

I believe Vossy is talking about the food event,

You mention about driving a car to the beer festival at Gostiny Dvor,I don't think there will be many people going by car to a beer festival :big-grin:

So despite the shitty weather I moseyed on down to Gorky park and was first through the gates at 11:00 , always on time , that's me ....shock horror I had my wrist wrapped with a freaking PINK band , no self respecting Paddy is going to walk around with anything PINK FFS .....what were they thinking.
So on to the show , it was a heady mix of newfangled Food trucks and shrink wrapped stalls......I even had my own personal rap concert!
To be honest I had a look at one so called master class and decided I could do all this in my own kitchen ......not the best day out in Moscow , but at least these fluffy little ducks enjoyed the rain :yawn2:

weather was lousy indeed. and that there was something going on at the same time at Gostiny Dvor, which was under a roof, did not help much either. butt i suppose it is an effort of the pen pushers and stamp pad polishers on Tverskaya to keep the masses entertained.and expecting some nice and unusual street food, well it did not happen. suppose the organizers also want to play it safe. knowing the food preferences,,,,well done shashlik, sausages grilled to death and tons of ketchup... someone should go ti Singapore and have a look there about street food. but here, a black sesame bun causes an upheaval...('i don't want the black bun, looks burned, give me a normal one'...)
