I was responsible for a customs violation about 5 weeks ago at Vnukovo. They confiscated 88 books as I entered the country because they were more than 100 years old +, & without a declaration. My employer's legal department tells me that if they decide the value is 100 000 or more I could face a serious prosecution.

This is a private collection and I had no intention of selling them, and I had no idea a declaration was necessary to import them. Many are worthless, I would like them returned.

I've called the custom-house about the books last week. They said that the books are "on the expert examination now", so it would be better to call them every week.

Can anyone help with this matter?
