All that the Russian side has to counter this is a badly-made, amateurish picture a couple of teens could have cobbled together in half an hour.

Ah, Kyiv Post always knows The Truth ;) Have they checked, if 53rd adb really exists? :-)

What worse than that video put out by Ukraine of the pro Russians saying they shot a plane down that was made the day BEFORE the plane was shot down?

Maybe, but why DailyMail quotes banderlog source Kyivpost instead of direct German report based on a German investigation? :whisper:

Probably because DailyMail just sucks, and some ad revenue issue.

To the best of my knowledge there is no 53rd PVO Brigade in the Western Military District, however there is a 531 PVO Regiment in Polyarnyy, but they are not equipped with BUK!

So, now that you have the original article, what do you have to say about it?

Already after 53rd adb it wasn't worth to mention it, not speak about reading. Pure delirium - they've even self-liquidated. My condolences.

If all Baltics habitants use the same sources as you do... well, at least it's good for their agriculture... ;)

So now they say it wasn't a BUK? And according to Andy and Raz, they even got the regiment wrong...
* In a previous version of this story we incorrectly reported the civilian airliner was destroyed by a BUK missile. The airliner was destroyed by an S-200 missile. CORRECT!V corrects mistakes.

Check that part of the report again. They were referring to the 2001 incident with that footnote, not the current one.

Noted,

They have a thing for "incorrectly" reporting.....best to wait for the official report, should be out soon.

Hey...they were just on holiday with a BUK.

The greatest thing I have heard about this crisis is that over 40% of Russians are no longer going on holiday to Thailand, Turkey, Israel...blah blah blah

The ski slopes will be peaceful without the trash this year.

Do you mean Russians leave a lot of "trash" behind on the slopes?

It's a German report based on a German investigation.

"German investigation" implies official government investigation which gives it some credibility, quoted by this article.

In fact, this so called "German investigative group" is in fact a group of self declared experts with no qualifications in this sphere at all and who are in fact nobody vigilantes that just trawled rubbish on internet and went on a road trip - but it makes headlines on a trash newspaper. A glimmer of hope to the pro-KievJunta faithful.

Not much different from the "Syrian observatory for human rights" that is frequently quoted in the UK press. the name of the source implies some kind of official status when in fact it's just one guy with a laptop in London making pro-rebel statements to the press which the press will in fact print. The name of the entity implies impartiality as it's name implies a human rights focus when in fact its just rebel press releases.

Blaming Russia for this shoot down is getting a bit weak now, there should have been some interview with the referenced pilot - but all is silent here. No doubt this pilot will never be interviewed outside the Ukraine and may have an untimely end.

The Syrian situation has nothing to do with this. If you don't like the information in this report, feel free to prove it wrong or table stronger evidence of another theory.

You totally missed the point. the newspapers are showing themselves to be propaganda machines dressing up rubbish as "facts" - just as they did in Syria or any other war they recently decided to promote.

"Information in the report" - you can't call it information and certainly not worth printing, referencing or re-posting.

"German investigation" - yeah right.....a group(2 of them, they can call themselves a group) of pro-Junta warmongers deciding to give themselves an official sounding title of "German investigative group" to mislead their status and value of their statements.

If the title includes "German", it implies it represents the nation, and that would only be the case for an official government investigation where the group would include persons of expected qualifications and experience following judicial style processes that issue findings that deserve some respect.

the "German investigative group" is in fact two pro-Junta banker puppet thugs that go on a road trip with their camera phones.

Don't waste your time. fenrir definitely knows _everything_ - from so called "reputable independent Western media" and "social networks" :whisper:
