Can someone post the list of required documents needed to obtain temporary residency?

Also, would anyone know how I can get a hold of a Canadian Police Clearance, when applying to the canadian police, they say it can take 6 months, and usually it takes longer, is their anyway around this? Please feel me in on any other details you know.

Also I'm surprised to hear that it takes so long to get a police check in Canada, are you sure about this, in Britain they a guaranteed maximum period and its a much shorter period. You will also have to get your police check apostiled and tranlated.

You will receive the official list of requirements when you go for the application at FMS (OVIR)

this list differs from the one recently posted in my OVIR office in Kyzyl, REpublic of Tuva...it says we no longer need the moeny proof requirement, but that i need some document from the US that claims I am allowed to live in a foreign country...any news on this change? What is this document? - looks like the info on this link is a bit old...
