Hi,
I was asked to find a Russian language teacher for a Slovenian friend who is going to be in Moscow for a week. And he wants to have 3-4 private lessons (each for 3 hrs).
What is the price for that kind of service? What should we expect?

On average 2000 per hour but this could change depending on where they live in Moscow, for example if you are at the top or bottom of a line (on the metro) some teachers will charge more. Good luck. If you are interested my boyfriend speaks fluent Russian and has been teaching Russian for 2 years, his number is 89251899459

2000 is very much the high end. You can take private lessons at MGU, the best Russian university, for 20 EUR per hour, i.e. not even 1000 RUB

That is not MGU, that is a private company that have their offices and classes in the MGU main building. The "real" MGU language center is somewhere down the orange line(cant remember).

I know because I was a student there for 6 months. Its good during the summer when theres a lot of people. When people start to leave, it gets boring quickly and you can tell on the teachers that they get less active and interested.

But that was almost two years ago, so things could have changed but I changed school after 6 months.

As for private teacher, it depends. I myself paid 750rub per academic hour.

Of course that differs from person to person, for 750rub I went to her apartment since that was on the way home from Uni.

If the teacher is traveling to you, the price is higher.

As the others have stated 2,000 is on the high end, if you live in the middle of nowheresville and you can a university professor with years of teaching Russian to foreigners with perfect English then sure maybe she/he will ask 2,000. For a normal Russian teacher, especially if you buy a book (I recommend the Speak Correctly, a course in conversational Russian that be purchased at Dom Kinigi) you can get almost anyone to teach you from it and easily get someone for 1,000 an hour or maybe less if they aren't an actual teacher.

I study for 1,000 rubles an hour, or 1,300 for an hour and a half with a private teacher.

There is a girl on Expats who offers lessons for 1500 RUB for 90 mins. She's probably one of the better variants for foreigners in Moscow, not looking to бросать деньги на ветер.
Hope that this helps.

It depens on many reasons. However, usually it's about 1000=60 minutes, 1500=90 minutes

One 60-minute lesson normally costs from 1000 to 2000 rubles. Skype lessons are cheaper.
