Just wondering what the average cost of renting a room/apartment in Moscow is? I'm going to be in Moscow for the next few months so price is my main concern and I don't want to feel like I'm paying too much...

From what I've seen advertised, a room in a shared apartment can cost from 15000 rubles per month to 45000, or higher.

A one-room apartment generally from 30000, but that would be far from the center and also far from any metro station.

It is a good place near the center, worth going to.

To be near the centre or, perhaps more importantly, near a metro station a short term apartment is going to be nearer 60,000 a month minimum.

If you are looking to rent longer term then the price will be cheaper, but to find somebody who just wants to rent for a couple of months then you'll probably be paying extra.

Have a look on Cian would be my suggestion. Here are a couple of examples of the cheapest rooms to rent short term that look sort of reasonable. They are about 30k to 40k roubles per month:-

EDIT

I'm going to be in Moscow for the next few months

If you're looking at 6 months or more then forget the above and go for a normal rental
