Hi everyone,

I'm living in Russia at the moment but plan to return to Canada in a few months. However, I'm also planning to travel on the way back (in various European countries) and don't want to haul a huge suitcase from hostel to hostel. I would also probably run into excess baggage fees all the time on trains/planes/buses. So, I think the ideal would be to bring my smaller bag with me and ship the suitcase home first, with the bulk of my stuff. We're probably talking a bit less than 20 kilos. I checked FedEx and it's somewhere around $400 USD. What would be a good way to ship it? Is there a reliable way that's somewhat cheaper? Or should I just bring it with me anyway?

Sending stuff out of Russia with Russian Post is reliable, as long as nothing "valuable" is in it.

About how much would you guess that would cost?
