-Würstlbrater- ( this is actually a person who grills the sausages)

- a heise mit an süßen- ( a hot one with a sweet one, meaning a boiled, not grilled sausage with sweet mustard, as ordered in Vienna by people who know the dialect and their sausages...)

-1PS Debra- (was very popular during the story when horse meat was supposed to be everywhere, including the sausages. -Debra- short for debreziner, a very popular sausage in Austria.)

So saustika is ok but nazi-wurst gets this kind of freak out from u?

but a NAzi is a Nazi, there is no changing/re arranging/ hiding/ the name.
by the way, you do that (posting) in Austria or Germany and a fuddy duddy or just normal citicen compalins about it, admin will have to give the law your name and address and if it will be possible they will prosecute you.
and one thing is for sure THERE you wil lbe banned from posting for a long time if not forever, beleive me.
The past is a very sore point for many people. And most living Germans or Austrians now were born when WWII and the 1000 year Reich was long gone up in Ashes. And many of us are just beign sick and tired always being associated or reminded what had happened.
It does not mean we will forget, to the contrary, but it does not have to be shoved down our throat by illiterate people like you or others who have no understanding about history.
My family lost 8 people in Russia, i have no hard feelings towards them, the young generation that i work with was not responsible. But neither are THEY EVER calling me a Kraut/Nazi/-Gitlertse- or the like. THEY have a little bit more brain. And that goes for a few other foreigners here as well who post.

Hans Wurst or Gans Kolbosa

Just reminds me, two years ago in the May days there was a film or series about the War going on. The German soldiers were speaking in German, and there was a voice over in Russian.
One soldier called the other one `Hanswurst` (which means something like `idiot`, but the voice over translate literally : `Gans Kolbosa`

I am just shocked by master chef's rant and dunno what to think cos it's pathetic really and also ure in denial about ure passed. For example ure telling u lost eight relatives in russia? Really? Like they fell into a river on a fishing trip or had a skiing accident? C, how u cant admit the truth that they was on a invasion they screwed up and got trashed even after all theyre bragging. So ure totally trying to hide the past really, not cos ure ashamed of what u done but cos ure sad and dishonered forever cos u lost.
Next? U got nothing to complain abiut even cos u got off with it like it was nothing what u do ne like u didnt pay for it cos u cud have got all ure cities burned to the ground and everything what u ever built smashed to bits and all ure lands settled also and u wud just be a few coolies left alive to cook and clean and millions wud be slaves and even german wud be illegal u cud have gotted what timur done to india or chinghiz khan to the caliphate-just ure lands turned into places for horses to eat and run. Like that.

C, if ure german then deal with it. What's the difference between how they always go and about pakistanis? So it's a double standard. Their always dragging up all sorts of stuff and did we ever do bad stuff like what the germans and nazis done yet look at how we are getting treated!! And I and zillions of other immigrants in europe got to deal with that and if u say anything u get told just its a joke. So master chef deal with ure situation just like I got to.

Emmentaler is a hard swiss cheese. I use it for fondue. Swiss from the deli store is softer, for sandwiches.

The image has a slice of imported lacey swiss on the left and domestic swiss on the right, along with bricks of less-holey emmentaler and grueyére (for fondue).

I know, what Grueyere is. It happens also to be "Swiss". Hence my question. Swiss, is it a cheese name or something that points to the cheese' origins?

And, you mean they make a cheese in the States that is called "Swiss", just like they did in the USSR?

[QUOTE=robertmf;1272708]Emmentaler is a hard swiss cheese. I use it for fondue. Swiss from the deli store is softer, for sandwiches.

[COLOR="Red"]

Emmental is (in the culinary and gastronomic world at least) not considered a -hard- cheese. but opinions differ and the ( links) experts know better.

unprocessed cheese:is anything that is made from cottage cheese and stays more or less -natural- i.e. -dvorog-,Ricotta, Mozzarella and the likes. in culiary use and terms, basically anything that has not -ripened- or -aged- yet. that is why we count Mozza as unprocessed cheese.

(of course than there is also the -cheese product- God only knows what the ingredients are and how to classify that. we call it -junk- and don't use it in my kitchens.)

soft cheese: Brie,Camembert, Quargel and so forth.

hard, say the experts, so be it, you can take your pick: Emmental,Gruyere,Gouda,Tilsit, all the -Blues- and the like

very hard cheese: Parmesan, Sbrinz, smoked Suluguni,Djougas( lat variation of Parmesan, excellent for half the prize)... cheeses that you can -kill-with-.

http://voices.yahoo.com/classification-cheese-7942296.html

-Swiss Cheese- is a name invented only in the USA, to make it easier for them to learn that it is cheese with HOLES inside, like Emmental, Allgäuer, Appenzeller and the like.

I know, what Grueyere is. It happens also to be "Swiss". Hence my question. Swiss, is it a cheese name or something that points to the cheese' origins?

And, you mean they make a cheese in the States that is called "Swiss", just like they did in the USSR?

Generic "Swiss" is the cheese with holes in it !! hahaha Yes, the US makes domestic swiss cheese. That's the slice on the right. If you order 400 gr of swiss at the deli counter, that is what you get. Or maybe you get asked "domestic" or "imported".
