We also had minuses at nights/mornings in the 1st week of 2014, but generally it is rather warm now. I'd like to have -10...-12.

This is a very unusual January so far. Usually you'd be looking at thick snow, minus temperatures, etc. This weather is more typical of late March/early April.

There is a Russian saying that if it is warm at Christmas (7th January) it will be a cold spring. So we perhaps have prolonged wintery weather to look forward to...

Isn't the government able to "produce" sunshine for the May holidays ? :) How about a nice cold January / February, a March to forget about it and an early spring in April !
Anybody here got the "right contacts" to do this ? I would pay a beer :beerbros:

To find out when Winter will end, you will have to wait until  Groundhog Day (http://www.groundhog.org) on Feb 2d

Let's put it this way... on 1st May last year I was wrapped up in a winter jumper. On 9th May I wore a summer dress and got sunburned :)
