We are looking for info on local pre-schools for our 2 1/2 year old in the Frunzenskaya area. Is there a local resource like a Moscow city web site to identify them or is it a case of walking around the surrounding neighbourhood? Does anyone have any hints on distinguishing the good from the not so good?

Hmmm.. we are looking for local (i.e. Russian) options rather than international.

If it's a Russian school you are after good luck in getting in! Waiting lists for central kindergartens in Moscow can be YEARS long...

Have you found anything? It looks like the local kindergartens are going to be very crowded. Six of them are closing for reconstruction, so the remaining will have to accomodate the children from those six. This will last a year.
