I want to say that I was very wrong in my comments and posts in some of my threads ,and to also say to the people that I personally insulted that I am sorry. Some of my threads were not nice and I wish I could remove the bad feelings I have caused to anyone I have insulted. I have asked the administration to remove these offensive statements and comments and sent PM's to those offended.

My actions caused a loss of honor to myself and others.

I wish to specially apologize to GUEST as he was insulted the greatest.
He is not a racist, but a person proud of his country.

My actions were wrong and I admit it.

Please accept my apologizes .

thanks for your contribute but honestly if people get offended because of an internet forum, they really must have some serious problem

this is the internet for god's sake:rant:

PS. concerning Guest he is not a racist at all, it is just proud of his country so proud that he is biased with most of his opinions concerning the topic Russia/Russians

GMC, I don't think I saw any of your posts - maybe they weren't as bad as you think, maybe they were. But anyway, it's easy online to get carried away, and things often look worse (and last longer) when written than spoken. It's not easy to apologize, but you have - and I'm sure that you'll continue to make a good contribution to the forum! Well done!

(I'm sorry, if this sounds a bit - well, patronizing. It's not meant to be - it takes a lot to make a public apology like this, and GMC deserves a lot of credit for it.) :)

I think that it was very respectful of GMC to offer apologies.

If others were as quick with apologising as GMC has been, we wouldn't have all those rants going on.

I think this is a perfect example of someone first expressing everything he/she thinks and then realising it may have been out of order.

None of the mods warned GMC for anything.

I deeply respect any person who is willing to reconsider own opinions and being brave enough to share that. It takes guts and intelligence.

Respect, GMC.

Sad other people won't do the same.

I would like to say I'm sorry now.

Clean32 I'm sorry you are such a racist jerk, I really don't know why you are but maybe you fell on your head when you were young and that's why you are such an idiot. I'm also sorry I scared you so much that you had to miss your paintball game.

I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm just sorry for you, sad really.

GMC,

Thanks for your post. I hope this doesn't mean that you won't write anything on this forum any more. Just try to understand that all people and countries are different, and have their own way of development.

Nope and not until both Sal and dick apologize, and in dick retracts his lies. Besides if these two idiots believe its ok to follow me around from post to post slaging me well I can do the same, its obviously permitted so why not ??

But please note I haven’t threatened anyone with violence or the FSB, made accusations about mail order brides or there wife’s/partners (if they have any) appearance, passed judgment on my business endeavors etc. so ****em they can have back a peace of what they have done to me. And again as I said it seems to be permitted.

If GMC can do it, Bels can do it, i have done it, why cant dago and dickhead ???

You called me a Blackass from a worm place, said I was not from the U.S on my third day here and I should say sorry to you? I did not say one thing too you, I didn't even know you before that.

You are the one who follows Sal around.

GMC and Bels have not been around as long as you, they do it becuase YOU get away with insults. You also get away with calling people racist names like DAGO.

Ya Clean32 you never said anything bad too anyone or made slanderous statements on this forum.

A forum is a place to share facts and opinions, and people are free to say and think whatever they want.

But when people are "guests" in a foreign country they really should avoid to say some things that are not only stupid, but can offend seriously.

When a non Russian who is living here since a few years, who builded a Family here, compares today's Russia with nazi Germany, some people are seriously hurted. It is an insult to all Russians, there is quite NO Russian family who did not lose relatives in WW-II in fighting against the nazi. As I often said, if it is so hard for people living here, well, nothing refrains them to go back home.

GMC, thank you for your message. I do not care about apologies to ME personally, I know I am a racist (against idiots, I often wrote it!) and anyway do not care in a general way about what people here think of me. But thank you for your "general" apologies, I just hope now that the offended post will be edited so that the usual "routine" of the forum comes back ;)

And if I may, I would add that you have a good life here, no? Making a baby here means that you feel well, I assume! Thinks are far than perfect here, but I assume that living here probably means that you feel better here than in your native country. So, just ENJOY Russia. And Russians :)

And Dick, Clean and Sal, thank you again to have made bardak in this thread :(

Guest, this is an excellent and very serious point. There is a very great lack of understanding in the UK (and in Western Europe generally, I think) about the suffering endured by Russia in WW2, and the role that this country played in defeating Nazi Germany. That this is the case is a serious problem in the education that many Western European people have had, but which is now (as I see in the school curriculum in the UK and elsewhere) beginning to be addressed. Indeed, it was not until I made friends here (and particularly in St Petersburg) that I began to understand the scale of what had happened in WW2 - to walk down Nevskiy Prospect with someone who can tell you his parents' account of the German bombardment of that city is an astonishing and very humbling experience. If you have no idea of what happened during this period of history, try reading the Wikipedia article Siege of Leningrad - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia@@AMEPARAM@@/wiki/File:Blokada_Leningrad_diorama.jpg" class="image"><img alt="Blokada Leningrad diorama.jpg" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/6/66/Blokada_Leningrad_diorama.jpg/300px-Blokada_Leningrad_diorama.jpg"@@AMEPARAM@@commons/thumb/6/66/Blokada_Leningrad_diorama.jpg/300px-Blokada_Leningrad_diorama.jpg - it is not pleasant reading. But there can be no doubt, after reading it, why any Russian would find comparison between Russia and Nazi Germany to be extremely offensive.

Spot on,we were told about what the west really did in WW2 but the same can be said about russian kids, they are not really did duri told what the west did in the war. Many times i have heated talks with russians about the war and they don't know much about what the western countries did in the war.

30-11-07I haven't seen your posts - however, sometimes there's nothing wrong with being deliberately provoactive as it makes, more often than not, for interesting debate - eliciting response(s).

If others' can not stand the heat in the kitchen and their old red mist starts to rise then, perhaps, it is they who have, at the end of the day, lost whole point of the argument/discussion and maybe it is they who should get out of the kitchen....:bong: :fireworks:

Why to use insults as provocative instrument? If debates are based on insults, or abuse, it is not a debate but something else.

My personal opinion, of course.

Nothing wrong with provocation but insults make any debate impossible.

I can assure that even without insults, this kitchen is already pleasantly hot enough.

GMC apologised and as far as I know, those who in specific demanded apologies got them through PM as well.

Case closed. So is the thread. Feel free to start a new one on debating techniques.
