Folks-
Greetings from across the Great Pond.

It's been a few years since I lived in Russia and my memory fails me here:

Do any of you have information/experience about how reliably packages from the US reach Russia?

A friend is asking me to send him a smartphone. Is this something that would reach him reliably?

I was looking to send it airmail and insuring it (value- $300)

Specifically, I'm asking about sending it to him in Ingushetia/Chechnya.

If you have experience receiving packages with some value in Moscow or other cities, that would be helpful too!

thanks!

I had no problems with sending parcel post to Moscow. I did put the address in both English and cyrillic.

:ninja: Chechnya may very well be a leopard with different spots.

Thanks for this, Robert.

What you sent by parcel post- was it of value?

DO NOT SEND ANYTHING OF VALUE IN THE MAIL EVER.

Unless it's FedEx or something like that.
