Cereal, melon, pineapple and fresh strawberries alongwith Cranberry juice and about 3 litres of coffee! :)

Everything was quite healthy until I poured the coffee! ;)

I don't have an appetite for the first three hours after I wake up. So my breakfast today was 40 min ago at Torro Grill, had a cheeseburger with bacon and a coke.

Odds are i wont be home also for lunch after work and dinner i usually cook around midnight at home.

i go first walking with my dog and we have breakfast afterwards.

fried mixed mushrooms ( picked in forest this morning, they realy grew over night like, well, mushrooms after the rain.) in a nice spicy sauce with Adshika, lots of onions, lots of garlic and coriander leaves. mixed together with nice thin long egg noodles. and four pieces, fresh (meaning not smoked or cured) thins sausages made from beef and pork only. nothing else. we have a nice little shop out here who does things like that. 3 slices dark Borodino bread. And about 2 mugs of coffee. King Hadhramaut from Julius Meinl.

refuses to send mails (probably, laughing at me in secrecy, too....:-(((((
1) Check the connection to mail server - it may appear down, but it's not your PC fault;
2) If you have older MS Outlook mail client (not Outlook Express or Windows mail !!), check the size of your *.pst or *.ost file (where all the mail is saved). If I remember correctly, it had issues with send/receive when the file size reached 2GB. It was needed to archieve older mails into separate archieve file and then perform original file squeeze. See internal help with F1 button ;)

I think I'll make myself a nice pork sandwich , I bought a loaf of very tasty bread, it's made from kefir.

This bread is like the white soft slice bread in the UK, great for making sandwiches with, bread doesn't fall apart like most bread that can be found here.

I don't have a partner for myself to begin with! What happens in salsa classes is that some girls bring over their male partners who they probably want to dance with socially at the parties or something. And, since salsa is very much a couple dance, the teacher makes those male partners dance with all the others as well.

Dear Sir,
Leftover doesnt mean spoiled or can't have fresh to eat ;)))
But, Some of the Indian dishes enhances taste after giving a maturation time of 12 hrs. So people usually cook such dishes in night n eat it next day in breakfast or lunch.

Even Coca-Cola keeps cola drink, before n after filling in bottle for 48 hrs for maturation.

I never really got onto that English idea of baked beans for breakfast.

A tablespoon of maple syrup is also good on oatmeal. Can you get molasses at Stockmans ?

Molasses - I got some in a yellow waxed cardboard cup at PEREKROSTOK, I think it is called "меласса"

Benedikt recommends "look out for KVASS concentrate, a liquid thick goo, that is sold in glass jars for some 30 or 40 rubles 0.3 ltr...." and another poster says to use buckwheat honey as a substitute for molasses.

I have a bean pot and make baked beans from scratch. Right now the pot has purple pickled eggs in it. When they are gone, then beans. I make a Vermont style of baked beans using salt pork and maple syrup. The crock pot is good for this after soaking & softening the navy beans.

Yes, my cholesterol is low ---------------------- because I take the pill :)

You may brag about your breakfast foods you eat at break of day,
Your crisp, delightful shavings and your stack of last year's hay,
Your toasted flakes of rye and corn that faily swim in cream,

But none of these appeals to me, though all of them I've tried -
The breakfast tat I liked the best was sausage mother fried.

Quark/qvark in German and tvorog in Russian. Fromage frais in the UK/France. Fresh cheese could be the name but some Americans call it simply quark.

Not *this* American ! To me, a quark is a subatomic particle; that and that only. Fromage is a soft French cheese ... "fresh cheese" would be ..um.. a farmer's cheese.

Both are different from your творог == cottage cheese. Looks to be similar in use to more Italian ricotta.

.... the wiki says this quark cheese is mostly Kraut and East European.

Our sunday breakfasts include butter and jam, fresh juices as well. My husband's sunday treat is eggs and sucuk (Turkish pepperoni). I love adding simit (hollow thin bagel with sesame ).
When I am abroad I get waffles with fresh fruit and bagels.

hey, seems the forum haven't heard from you for a long time. Welcome back!!

We always have white cheese, cheddar , black and green olives, bread for breakfast.

No honey ? No thick coffee ?

The best bread I've ever had was across the Black sea from you, in Samsun. The regular round loaf of wheat bread.

:bookworm:
Quark cheese (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quark_(cheese))

Quark is not cottage cheese. Like most of these dairy products, they are prepared slightly differently. Ricotta means extra cooked, again a different thing. I know people who buy quark in Whole Foods in the US. The good one here is the low-fat German one.

Whole Foods is a good chain. But are these people you know Russian/East Euro background ? I've never heard of quark in a dairy product context.

To me anyway, if it's not cottage cheese or risotto, then it's farmer's cheese.

I should look into this quark stuff. :9456: Might be a way to lose some weight ...

This ? (http://ossetians.com/eng/news.php?newsid=410&f=34) - only coffee instead of beer

Looks to be a pizza dough ?

It's more a Calzone than a Pizza, but same sort of thing - beetroot leaves are a huge loss to Western European cuisine, forget the quark go beetroot!

No, not from the East, unless we mean the East Coast. I've read it's called Farmer's Cheese also but have never seen that for sale in the US either. Maybe in 'Sconsin. Quark comes in many forms in the RF.

At Matt, beetroot chips are now available in Alie Parusa. Don't know if that qualifies it as a health food.
